[Screw Knob] A year ago, with the help of a machine shop, I modified the mounting platform of an ACRATECH 1161. This head would then accept a dovetail clamp of MY choosing. The Kessler-Crane lever clamp worked well. But I needed that lever clamp back on a Gitzo g1570. The Kirk round screw clamp, intended for mounting directly to a tripod's mounting platform, was required on a second tripod. ( Have two of those clamps. ) Finally I mounted this beautifully made clamp to the ACRATECH 1161. I am very pleased! Wimberly....please continue the manufacturing of this big honkin' clamp.
