Best Macro Lens For Nikon

[2:1] I bought this to get back into macro photography. My previous Macro Lens was a Nikon 105mm G on a D300. Yeah, it's been awhile. This new Laowa lens exceeded my expectations. It is superbly sharp from corner to corner at most apertures. It is very well built. And I really prefer macro lenses to be MF only, which this lens is. This is by far my favorite macro lens for the Fuji X System. The only minor criticisms that I could make is that I wish it had weather sealing - that's it!

[f/22] I use this lens on my Nikon Df. It's good for everything except what might call for a speciality lens, ie Micro/Macro and telephoto.

[Autofocus] F mount, on Nikon D850: I have used this lens for group photos, landscapes and although it is obviously not a macro lens, it works well for occasional close-ups. Color rendition is natural, better than some other high regarded third party lenses; it has better edge resolution and much less distortion than one lens that cost me 3 times the price of this Sigma.

[Nikon F] I wasn't sure how this was going to work, but I recently got a Nikon Z5 and got a few lens, but I also shoot with a Fujifilm and didn't feel like spending the money to rebuy one of my favorite macro lens the Laowa 100mm. But this item hits the spot. Since the Laowa I have is an APC lens, all I did was set the Z5 to a DX format and it just works. Since I'm shooting macro that does not bother me.

[65mm] I got this for my Nikon Zf and have yet to use it for that purpose. I put it on my Z8 to test it out and it hasn't come off the camera. The only other lens I use for macro is the Z 105mm 2.8 and I must say, this lens is not as optically perfect. There are slight aberrations and some purple fringing when pixel peeping. I tried doing a product shoot with a Nintendo Switch console, and the edges weren't sharp at f/11. I'm planning on utilizing this lens mostly as Macro and portrait, and for macro it could definitely use an extension tube. -The bokeh is creamy and smooth -Build quality is amazing -Focus ring is smooth and throw is longer for fine tuned focus.
