Best Rated Computer Clip On Speakers

[Black] I saw that these were the most highly rated computer speakers, according to the NY Times (though B&H doesn't list them with computer speakers), so I thought I'd give them a go. The sound is phenomenal: crystal clear, very three-dimensional, solid bass for such a small speaker. They're not tiny, so be sure they fit where you want 'em. Perfect size for me. Highly recommended.

[Aluminum alloy] These speakers sound great! I used (4) of these speakers with the Yamaha EMX-212S powered mixer. There was plenty of power and great sound coming out of these, considering the price. Also, these speakers are rated at 6 ohms and the mixer was rated at 4 ohms. However, there were no issues hooking up and using 4 speakers at once. You do have to get 2 phone jack connectors and 2 Speakon connectors to hook up all 4 speakers to the Yamaha EMX-212S.

[LCD] The Recital Pro is well rated (check it out online) for an absolute beginner and the stand/seat package were perfect complements: The stand is solid, easily adjustable and well-built, as is the music bench included in the package. Couldn't ask for more as a beginning piano student of 74+ years! The only modification I had to make on the stand was the addition of some velcro on the top of the support bars to prevent the digital piano from sliding around while playing. I also plugged in some computer-Bose speakers that I had lying around to add a bit more volume to the built-in speakers.

[9 lb] For speakers within their rated specification they are quite strong. For slightly heavier speakers they can be reversed and two large 2 to 2.5 inch screws placed in the center of a stud or in concrete while four smaller screws attach directly to the speaker. One caveat is that there are some plastic parts but the plastic is thick and heavy duty. Obviously full metal would be stronger but that would drive up the cost.
