[Yes] We replaced my wife's old PowerShot SD1200 IS with this camera. I am a 'semi-pro' photographer often called on by various volunteer and church groups to take pictures. I therefore have higher-end (and very reliable) Canon equipment, meaning my wife only takes photos in my absence. She uses the Power Shot on these occasions instead of her phone because of the quality of the pictures with the ease of (occasional) use. She (and I) could not be better pleased.

[1.22 lb] Was going to buy an off brand but chose to go with cannon on the recommendation of a semi-pro friend. Really glad I did. The fit and finish is impeccable and it really improves the feel of the camera in my hands. The vertical shooting controls work perfectly. I can't imagine running my 70D without it on now, it really makes that much difference in the feel and control of the camera to me.

I looked at several of these brackets and this one was priced right and had the durability I needed. ...

[Clear] After consulting with the best camera store in Charlottesville (Pro Camera) on how to find a replacement lamp for my ancient Kodak slide projector, they recommended looking online for possible sources. My first google search brought up B&H in NYC. Ironically I had previous experience with B&H; in the early 2000’s my wife was attending graduate school in NYC and I would travel up on weekends to visit. I was enchanted with NYC and, given my interest in the newly emerging digital cameras, B&H was like a camera lover’s heaven. Having used a Minolta SRT 101 for years for color slides, I was anxious to jump into the digital world, and I bought an Olympus Stylus 1000, which I still use today, more than 20 years later. For me, B&H is the ultimate camera source.
