[Wood] Does what it's supposed to do -- isolate a subwoofer from floor vibrations. Subwoofer sounds better now. 5 |

[Single Monitor] I bought these for a small office/edit bay. I wanted something I could use without a subwoofer. My previous speakers were little 5 models that lacked low end, resulting in mixes that were a little bass-heavy. These offer a little more low end without being boomy or artificial sounding. These are a great value for a nearfield monitoring system 5 |

[Rubber Feet] I purchased the SB-3000 as a replacement for my SB-1000. Having similarly tiny footprints, I expected some noticeable difference, but nothing dramatic. I couldn't have been more wrong! I use it in a small dedicated home theater room measuring 3.1m(L) x3.4m(W)x2.7m(H). My system is calibrated to 79dBC which I have found resembles the perceived loudness the large commercial cinemas the most. Calibrating to 85dBC in my room would sound far louder than even IMAX. So theoretically, in a 7.1 set-up, I would be asking my subwoofer to output a peak of around 111 (99*7+109)dBC at the listening position. Other subwoofers at this price range might struggle with such demands, but not the SB-3000. In fact, even after calibrating the system flat to +/-3dB, I still found the system sounding bottom-heavy during bass heavy scenes, more so than I remembered hearing in IMAX theaters. And then I found out that in Dolby Atmos' specifications for commercial cinemas (IMAX doesn't release its technical specifications, unfortunately), the subwoofers are only expected to go down to 31.5Hz +/-3dB. Therefore, to make sure that movies sound as they were intended (in large cinemas), I have to apply a 32hz high-pass filter to my subwoofer. Imagine that! The subwoofer is so powerful that even after equalization, I still need a high-pass filter to reduce the low frequencies unintended by filmmakers! Now, I understand that some people like their ultra-low frequencies, and there's nothing wrong with that. But if you have a small room like mine, like to watch movies at IMAX levels, and is content with the amount of low-frequency output found in IMAX, then look no further! 5 |

[9.75 lb] I replaced my passive Logitech computer speakers with a pair of the Audioengine A2+ speakers and a small 6.5 powered subwoofer. This is a great combination for listening to streaming videos and music in my small office. I use the USB input for the signal from my computer and the RCA outputs to send a signal to the powered subwoofer (Acoustic Audio PSW-6 purchased separately). Shown in the pictures on the Audioengine DS1 stands. The only con is the volume knob is on the back. I would purchase them again. 5 |

[83 lb] This is my first PA subwoofer so I don't have much to realistically compare it to but I'm happy for my purposes! My use: With 2 mackie thump go's through a mixer for karaoke, backyard parties, garage band, general small portable DJ setup. I bought used and saved some money on an already good price. At first I was disappointed with the power and sound when I hooked it to my mixer via the headphone out for volume control. It turns out my cable was bad or sent a weak signal for the sub. I replaced the Cable (1/4 TRS to split balanced XLR) and now that the signal is strong and clean and the sub actually sounds GOOD and musical - so a clean strong signal will do wonders with this subwoofer and I think a little break-in period helped it loosen up and improve SQ. Also properly setting the gain staging will help maximize output. The smaller weight and size of the sub are a big factor for me; it's not that hard to move compared to the majority of other 18's. If you're looking for a monster teeth rattling single sub with power for a live band in a larger venue this might not be the sub for you but it does great for small/medium DJ applications. I will likely add another one for outdoor events or bigger venues. Overall after a few weeks of ownership I recommend it if you manage your expectations 5 |

[Active] I have a small home studio. I needed some low end reinforcement. This NS-SW050 8 100 Watt Subwoofer works well with my pair of 8 inch small-room studio audio monitors and filled the bill nicely. The product and price worked for me. Thanks B&H! 5 |

[5.3] as long qas you don't expect real bass from the small subwoofer. It does give balance to the sound. 5 |
