Best Studio Monitors For Music Listening

[Download] This is the first time I've used in-ear monitors and I didn't feel or hear a difference from my over head headphones. I like that these are discreet and are much easier to pack and travel with. When shooting hand-held doc footage I tend to have just one in one ear so that I can monitor the audio while still having a clear idea of what's going on around me. The biggest selling point to these is that I do not find the quality to be any different than my over ear headphones from Sony or Audio-technica. In the description these are marketed as being usable for regular listening to music. I definitely would not recommend these for that given that these are truly designed to monitor audio so they lack the bass that regular listening devices add - this is a good thing. In other words, it might sound weird if you intend to use these for regular listening to music. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[60 W RMS] I moved my studio monitors, Adam ANF10s, to my listening room. Therefore, I needed to replace them in my studio. I auditioned several different monitors. KRK, Yamaha, etc. Before purchasing, I listened to the Adam T5V. These monitors had the familiar Adam sound that I was used to. Their clarity was second to none and put the other monitors I auditioned in the back seat. I cannot recommend the Adam T5V monitors enough. Definitely a great monitor choice.

[100 W] These were my choice after researching and listening to most small studio monitors. The sound on the BX5 D3 is just what i needed, renders true to my mix(the closest of the monitors i tried) the sound is balanced, the power is punchy when mixed at the right frequencies. As a sound engineer these have become my favorite monitors even for recreational music listening. Totally recommend and 110% recommend buying from B&H.

[Steel] I use these headphones for quiet listening from my iPhone and laptop, and also as monitors for my small recording studio. As of this review, I've used them heavily for over a month. These are magnificent headphones with quality construction, and the soft over-ear cups are very comfortable even after an hour of use.

[3' / 0.9 m] i use these for my commute. they are clearly designed for studio recording use, but they have noise isolation, so even when i'm not listening to music, i still don't hear noise on the train. they need a bit of stretching, but are pretty comfortable. a bit heavy for most people, but i like the weight, it makes them feel substantial. the cable stood up to my one year old biting it, very strong. and while its not necessary for music enjoyment, the mono/stereo switch is fun to play with and gives you an appreciation of what goes into making a track.

[PLA] These are some of the best speakers I've ever owned. They are amazing for listening to music casually or using them as serious studio monitors when creating music.
