Best Tube Amplifier For Electric Guitar

[Download] In 1969 I saw a solid-body electric guitar with a three-inch amplifier built into the face of the guitar. The tiny speaker was powered by a nine-volt battery inserted in the back of the instrument. Fantastic, I thought, why don't they make a suction-cup amp that sticks onto the face of the guitar? A zillion years later they did and it is fine.

[14.4 VDC] This is my second cube. I have been using the first one since 2014. It's an excellent amplifier for small parties and outdoor events where there is no electric. I added the second cube because I am performing for bigger crowds.

[1 mW] I kind of cheated. I used a Mullard (National electric of India) 12ax7 instead of the stock tube, which i hear is very nice. This preamp simply outperforms my Schiit audio Saga. It has all of the nuance and detail, but an air and slight lushness/warmth that others lack. It does anything sonically my former Quicksilver tube preamp did, but better for a fraction of the cost. This is a low cost/high end sounding product...full stop. So, support American jobs, experiance high fidelity and get a Bellari PA-555.

[0.01%] I use to as a headphone interface to a guitar tube amp DI out. It works great for that.
