[2 x 4 TB HDDs] I was outgrowing my 1 TB external single drives, and it was about time to separate my work projects from my personal. The item arrived quickly, and sported the lovely new electronic smell. Install was a breeze; as I don't have the need for RAID at the moment, I converted the drives quickly to be independent of each other, with one drive making multiple backups of the other. My system doesn't support USB 3.0, so I can't comment on the speed. But I can say USB 2.0 speeds are similar to other external drives, averaging around 20-25 MB/sec, according to the disc tests I ran. 4 months later the drive bay still runs like a charm. It is very quiet, located about 4 feet away from ear shot, and can only be heard when booting up the desktop as the drives spin up. This won't win you any awards for speed if you're doing heavy video processing. For now, it serves my purpose as a drive for my photography business, but I fear as the cameras keep increasing in MP sizes, I may need to update the desktop to either USB 3.0 or something similar, as USB 2.0 is starting to show its age (rendering full size previews of thousands of images can take a long time)!

[1x PCIe 3.0 x16] Easy to install. Works well with my USB 3.0 card reader and USB 3.0 external drive. Both are noticeably faster than the USB 2.0 interfaces that came with my computer.

I added this adapter card to my 4 y/o HP desktop to gain USB 3.0 capability. I found it easy to install and also purchased with it and installed a StarTech 4 Pin Molex to SATA Power Cable Adapter (6) from B+H, although not necessary to run my two USB 3.0 external hard drives. But for $ why not get the power cable in the event you need to power a device that needs the extra juice? I have not tested any actual transfer speeds; however, I do notice a much, much faster transfer rate when I back up the data on my computer's C: drive to the external hard drives. I also intend to use another of the card's USB 3.0 ports to attach a USB 3.0 SDXC/CF card reader. Instructions for installation of the driver on the accompanying CD was easy.

[0.005 lb] I use this adapter to connect an external hard drive to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Tablets only have mini usb ports. To use an external or any other device that uses a usb port, you'll need this adaptor. I also recommend getting an adapter that has a mini USB port on the adapter so you can keep your tablet charging while you use it with the USB device.

[Aluminum] This SSD drive compared to all similar and regular external hard drives is extremely fast and accurate. So very pleased that I ordered another one.

[128 GB] This is a great way to keep using an SSD (which was an internal hard drive) as an external hard drive. The directions are much improved from the same model that I bought two months ago. It's easy to insert the SSD into the case if you keep an eye on where parts fit together..
