[1x 4-Pin Pump] Purchased this motherboard as the backbone of a new gaming rig. populated with an Intel i7-14700KF, 64GB of Corsair Dominator RAM, 4TB of Samsung M.2 storage and topped with an ASUS RTX 4070Ti graphics board. build went quickly and booted up successfully first time. This has been the result with all of the ASUS M/Bs that I have purchased for my gaming, engineering design and simulation and business applications. [12] I upgraded from an Intel i7-4790k. I didn't think this processor would make much difference because I have a nice graphics card (gtx 2070), but in VR games like Rec Room and I've noticed a huge difference. In rec room I used to have glitches that I thought were just from the game, but with the new processor I've now realized it was from the CPU not running fast enough. [24 MB] I see one reviewer had issues with the WiFi at first. The key is to download the Drivers in advance, if possible, to a thumb drive (BIOS update, Chipset, LAN, WLAN, Audio, Graphics, etc). As we know, Gen-13 is Intel's final offering. (I also own the i7-1370P version, increasing core and thread count.) Gen's 11-13 use a P (performance) cpu instead of a U (mobile) cpu. I also own gen 8 and 10 units and they function very well. The latest units are very robust and utilize updated protocols. The OEM manufacturers are already charging Much more, so it's time to find an Intel while they're still available. I have compared this NUC13 i7 unit to many other mini PC's on the market, but the Intel NUC has, I believe, the best (and updated) features overall including TB4 and USB4, WiFi AXE. And the M.2 SATA port is an added bonus. 5 |
