Best Video Doorbell Cameras Without A Subscription

[256 GB microSD] I decided to upgrade to Lorex video doorbell for a few different reasons. First reason was I was using a video doorbell from my security alarm system. It always disconnected from the internet when you tried to playback video or talk through it. They always blamed my internet. The Lorex camera has a strong internet connection and only takes about 8 seconds to load even when I’m away from home. My second reason to upgrade to Lorex is I have 8 wired cameras that work great. It’s very convenient to have all my cameras under the same brand and only needing one app. Have 4K video is also a bonus. If you’re looking for a video doorbell go and a purchase, you won’t be disappointed. For several reasons, I opted to upgrade to a Lorex video doorbell. Firstly, my previous video doorbell, integrated into my security alarm system, consistently disconnected from the internet when attempting to playback video or engage in voice communication. The manufacturer consistently attributed these issues to my internet connection. In contrast, the Lorex camera boasts a robust internet connection and only requires approximately 8 seconds to load, even when I am away from home. Secondly, I have eight wired cameras that perform exceptionally well. It is highly convenient to have all my cameras under the same brand and only require a single application. Additionally, the 4K video resolution is a significant advantage. If you are seeking a video doorbell, I highly recommend making a purchase, as you will not be disappointed.

[f/1.6] I bought these to replace seven Samsung cameras that I had purchased and installed throughout our house over the years. Aggravatingly, Samsung decided they were no longer going to support those cameras in their app. I didn't want to spend a fortune on the more popular brands or pay for a monthly subscription for replacement cameras. After much research, I settled on these since they were a great price with no monthly subscription for the features that I want. And surprisingly they also capture very clear and sharp videos - much better than the old Samsung cameras. Very pleased with these cameras! (One small issue was that the old Samsung cameras had stands that would tilt and allowed me to place them on top of bookshelves angling steeply down to capture video of a room. These Kasa cameras are on a fixed base, although they do pan down, just not enough to capture the view that the old Samsung cameras did. However, they do pan up quite quite steeply, so I solved the problem by building a mounting device that allowed the cameras to be flipped upside down so I could still set them where the old cameras were and pan them up instead of down to capture the views that I needed. The app then allows you to flip the image and all is well!)

[WPA, WPA2, WEP] Firstly it's a shame that Google still hasn't officially offered and supported the Google Nest Video Doorbell in Australia. Now that I have it, I can't understand technically why. Thankfully B&H Photo offer the product to us Aussies and the ordering and pricing was fantastic. In short, I couldn't be happier with the device. The install was straight forward and the responsiveness of receiving alerts is with a second or two. Following are some other points others might find useful. - i didn't have an existing doorbell. I only had a CAT6 cable running to the doorbell. I am using a 24V AC 1AMP power supply located approx 20m away to power the doorbell over 2 pairs of the CAT6 cable. No issues whatsover. - My cable was already approx 1500 high off the ground which unfortunately is a little too high to see the ground in the video. - I don't have a chime. I am using the Google minis around the home to announce visitors and it works great. - The AI of Nest aware subscription is awesome. Love that it recognises faces and announces them. It also detects a parcel being delivered and also the parcel being collected. Worth the extra subscription fee. - 2 way audio communication is loud and clear. Video resolution is also great. So as you can probably pickup I am really happy with it. Thanks again to BH Photo for providing a trustworthy and reliable service to your international customers.

[Combination] This is the second Ring Video Doorbell 3 for us and I am 100% happy with them. Easy to setup and works just as advertised.
