Best Wireless Router For Xfinity

[20 to 30 dBm] I am using this with my new Arris S33 modem on xfinity's (up to) 1200Mbps service. Xfinity delivers 800 , and I get 400 wifi from the router, throughout my two story 2300sf house. The router is located centrally on the second floor.

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] The router is perfect for me to connect to the internet without the lease of a router from Xfinity. Having my own router saves me money. This is the best router to have.

[6.4 lb] This router can handle gigabit speeds offered by xfinity. If you do not use WIFI or use other access points, this router will do the job. Easy to configure GUI. Port forwarding and DHCP easy to set up. Adding firewall rules require technical skills but I have found online help available. Can be used for home or small business.

[Black] Always a scary event in updating a modem or router. There was no need for that as the installation and activation using the Xfinity app went smoothly and took, perhaps, only about 10 minutes total. The speed gain brought me up to what I have been paying for, so all's good. On the basis of all this, so far I can recommend it highly.

[1.09 lb / 493 g] This model is one that is compatible with Xfinity. I was surprised how much technology has changed because my previous NetGear modem did not require a router but this one does. I think some information needs to be added to the outside of the packaging to tell the user to buy a router while they’re at the store buying the modem!! I also don’t understand why the modem has a password because as I set the new system up, I needed to use the router name and created a password. Hopefully I got everything set up correctly - - I am able to connect to WiFi using the router name.

[DOCSIS 3.1] I bought this modem/router after deciding to end paying Xfinity $15/mo. for their equipment. Set-up was relatively easy and, after changing the default SSID and password to the ones I used for the Xfinity modem/router, my numerous devices linked to my home Wi-Fi readily connected through the new Arris. Two weeks into use, all is well.
