[T22] Everybody using an MFT camera for filmmaking (especially those with the Blackmagic Pocket 4K), should have a set of Cinema Prime lenses. Zooms are for the 'Instagram Generation.' If you are going to make narratives you need a firm grasp of film grammar. Prime lenses are the fundamentals of film grammar. For a while Veydra had the high ground on MFT primes, but they have left this earth, never to return. Now Meike has stepped up with their set of Cinema Prime Lenses. They are actually really good, and the prices are incredibly low for the build quality and image sharpness. The 12mm Prime is an excellent lens - it is in the medium focal length range with an MFT camera. It works very well with my Blackmagic 4K camera. I plan on acquiring a full set soon.

[0.05 lb] Best option if you want to use EF lenses on the Blackmagic camera. Autoficus is a bit slow.

[0.245 lb] I own (and love) my newer Blackmagic Design 6k camera with full frame sensor and Leica L mount. I also have a number of wonderful new and old Zeiss PL mount fixed cinema lenses. (18mm - 200mm) So when I saw this adapter for sale at B&H, along with a good review of it, I took the plunge. I am not disappointed. With this adapter, a fairly heavy Zeiss lens with ARRI PL mount, like their CP.2 25mm for example, hangs off the Blackmagic camera with no discernible wiggle. The lens goes on and off a bit tight, but hey, that's what I wanted. It looks great too, with excellent machining and black surface coating. Note that — nothing to do with this excellent adapter itself — my oldest 1970s vintage Zeiss Super-16 lenses, while still producing great images, do vignette at the image corners, from 9mm to 16mm when the Blackmagic camera is set to FF 6k, exactly as I expected. But I could not have verified that without this Simmod adapter. Note also that simply changing the Blackmagic camera setting to capture a more restrictive Super-35 4k size, allowed more of my older PL mount Super-16 lenses to be used. The lens coating on those older Zeiss is not quite as nice as the newer CP.2 or CP.3 but still hard to see much difference in most lighting conditions. Again, this Simmod adapter allowed me to test all this.

[Silver] I use this adapter with my B4 ENG lenses on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera with pretty great results, especially when stopped down to f5.6 for that sharp image. It's well built and very easy to use. The only downside about it is that it is mainly only for the BMPCC and Fotodiox really do need to produce a similar product for the Panasonic GH4. Olympus OM-D and also maybe the new Samsung NX1.Here is some test footage I supplied to -------

[Yes] I use this as an adapter for my Blackmagic Cinema Pocket Camera which allows me to use my Canon mount Rokinon Cine Lenses. Since the lenses are fully manual, I can manage the aperture and focus with no electronics. For me it is a perfect solution for using these lenses.

[Canon EF] I'm using this adapter with Pentax 645 lenses on a Blackmagic 6k camera with EF mount. Works very well. Snug fit on both lens and camera ends. This adapter allows me to use the aperture ring on the lens to change aperture.
