Blackstar Ht 60 2X12 Combo Amp Guitar Amplifier

[±0.5 dB] This is an amp with a retro vibe, harkening back to the audio days of old--late 60's-70's. It is solidly built, with plenty of power for most speakers. I was actually surprised how good this amplifier sounds--my last amplifier pushed considerably more watts but didn't sound nearly as good. I love the minimalist design of this amp-perfect for someone who remembers the golden age of stereo. Hats off to Yamaha for having the guts to produce a quality amp reminiscent of classic gear, and to B & H for their unbelievably fast shipping!

[Active 2-Way] I bought a pair of these to use with a guitar amp simulator. They sound great and allow for getting the amplifier and effects tone without having to crank up the volume to concert levels.

[50 to 90 MHz] For small combo work with a hollow-body jazz guitar, this amp has a great clean tone and in small rooms plenty of power even at its 40 watt rating. It must be extremely efficient because I have yet to go beyond 1 on the volume.

[Yes] The Blackstar Fly 3 is just the right mix of sound and size. I was skeptical at first due to its size, but it is loud and covers the guitar range well. I use it with a Taylor acoustic and Fender strats with great results. I was looking for a practice amp that would fit in my gig bag, and it fits the bill.

[Solid-State] I have personally used the mic over the guitar amp and also to mic saxophones.

[10.1 x 8 x 2"] Worked perfectly. Connected my HT receiver 'LFE' channel to external amp 'XLR' for a passive sub. No 'hum'. Thick cable. seems durable.

[12 AWG] The cord on my Fender Guitar Amp is only about 4 feet long so I am limited as to where I can place it. This 10 foot heavy duty cord lets me place my amp almost anywhere now. It also handles the voltage and amperage which my amp requires.
