Bluetooth Adapter With Antenna

[1 mW] I needed this to add 5GHz capability to an old laptop that I was using as a router. The big antenna on this adapter makes it 2-3 times faster and much more stable than my old means of connecting. For Linux, you need to get the driver package from the website, don't bother with the included disk. I used the latest version, I simply ran the install script in a terminal window, and it was up and running, that easy. The adapter unplugs from the base and can be plugged directly into a usb port if necessary, the antenna is hinged. The base is weighted and lets you move the adapter around for the best reception. Really can't come up with any negatives. It is hard to find a 5GHz USB Wifi adapter for Linux, and this one works very well. I'm sure the Windows and Mac support is as good.

[USB-A (2.0)] Purchased a Bluetooth adapter just to see what all the fuss was about ..Sent a few files to my computer.. Could have done this through Email :-) Only con i found is when I paired this with my Bluetooth headphones, my wifi connection would become choppy..

[USB-A ] Bluetooth pairs well with Windows or Linux on my laptop, and the USB adapter provides reliable fallback. The mouse fits my large hands, feels solid, and responds smoothly.

[2.3 lb / 1.1 kg] My significant other works from home and needed to replace her Polycom Voxbox, which has been malfunctioning when its warranty ended. Replaced it with the Jabra Speak 750. Even though the Speak 750 supports wired USB and Bluetooth, I used the USB adapter that came with 750 in order to establish full Teams control from the Speak 750. It has worked flawlessly with her Windows 10 Pro HP laptop. Note that I tried using Windows Bluetooth, but it did not have the range of Teams controls that the adapter provides. Plus, noise cancelling works fine, where even noise from the dish washer does not interrupt the call. The Speak 750 supports up to 10 Bluetooth-paired devices with 2 active simultaneously. In using the USB adapter, the iPhone that is paired with the 750 does not interrupt any Teams meetings if the iPhone receives a message or phone call. Finally, Jabra technical support was excellent. Had an issue with audio feedback, and after 10 minutes of wait, I was able to talk to a live, knowledgeable person and resolved the issue. Highly recommend the Speak 750!

[USB] This was a two birds with one stone proposition for me. I now have much better Wifi signal than previous adapter which was only 802.11bgn, and much better Bluetooth experience than with previous 4.0 adapter. If you have speaker disconnect issues after installing, go to Device Manager and find your Bluetooth device that has a Power Management setting under Properties. Uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the device to save power. The antenna could be heavier or have embedded magnets but it works very well and the cord is long enough. I feel that my purchase was well worth the cost and functional improvement.

[1] I wanted a Bluetooth adapter to allow the connection of a keyboard and mouse to my desktop. Works great with Windows 7.
