The HP Smart app, guided and helped me, with clear and direct, animated visuals that demonstrated each step of getting the Smart Tank set up. The ease of installation, and being able to see the ink levels in the Smart Tank, is especially cool! The overall quality of the images the HP Smart Tank printed, are crisp, vibrant, and just what I'm looking for in a printer. [800 MHz] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP Smart Tank 7001 is my first experience with a wifi printer and I'm so excited! The printer was easy enough to set up. I added the HP Smart app on my iPhone and followed the directions. I was nervous about the ink bottles spilling or dripping, but I had no reason to be. There wasn't a drop anywhere but where it needed to go. It's a great idea to have the ink windows so you can see how much is left. Once the printer was set up on my network, I could print to it from my laptop and phone. So great! I used to have to move everything to plug into my old printer! This printer is so convenient! I like the modern and minimal design too. I printed a photo off my phone and showed it to my fiance. He said, "that's cute"...then I told him I printed it on the HP Smart Tank 7001 printer and he said, "Wow!" I am impressed with the print quality on the photo paper. It truly looks like a photograph! The few things I printed so far look great and printed pretty quickly.

[Laser Printers] I have a wonderful hp black and white laser printer that finally ran out of toner. It was simple to find the cartridge using the hp smart app which knew exactly what i needed. It was very easy for purchase. The hp printers and the hp smart app are fabulous.

Though a little noise but I am sure I will get used to it. I love the idea of not using cartridges. It’s much more economical for me. Haven’t had time to get into scans. But the automated 2-sided printing works great with the HP Smart app. I would recommend buying this printer.

It is seamlessly set up with the HP Smart app and is ready to go within minutes. I have not had a good experience with wireless printers in the past, but the HP was quick and easy. There is also a wireless self-reset easily accessible if it does end up posing a problem which is a nice touch. Testing the print, copy and scan functions I couldn't think of anything that I was unhappy with. The quality of the prints are very good and the scan and copy function are extremely quick. The HP Smart app allows for you to run the printer through your phone which increases accessibility and makes it really easy to print documents on the go. The on printer interface is also very easy to use and the LCD is easy to understand. The printer came with 6 months worth of ink which is a nice touch, although the ink is pretty inexpensive which is a major plus. Overall I would definitely recommend this printer for anyone needing primarily black and white applications. You get all the features of more expensive printers in a compact and inexpensive package.

[600 x 600 dpi] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this is a tough one for me. This printer is great, it's fast, it's reliable, it's efficient. It has two trays so I can easily set printing to each tray based on what I'm printing (envelopes, paper, etc). The problem though, comes to the HP Smart driver / HP Smart Universal Driver. This driver forces you to use a HP Smart printer configuration tool instead of the normal Windows one. This tool is absolute junk. You set preferences and save it, then the HP App just decides "NOPE, we're going to undo that and make automatic adjustments based on what we think is best." There is a default Windows IPP driver that works just fine though, so if you do go this route, avoid the HP drivers at all cost if you have specific printing configuration requirements. But if you're just using this to print normal paper, it's not an issue. Besides the driver issue, the actual printer itself is great. I thoroughly enjoy the speed of a laserjet compared to an inkjet. The double-sided printing is great also. For my small business, this printer meets all of our needs and expectations. Definitely worth the buy if you're looking for something reliable.
