Boost Bass Gaming Headphones

[30 Ohms] Cheap, VERY comfortable, and despite *strong* bass, it's not overpowering. I bought these to use while gaming and as a second reference while mixing music. The bass is strong and definitely forward, but not overpowering. It's pleasing to the ear. The mids and high mids seem well balanced, which is where it matter most in my opinion. Build quality is good. Nothing cheap about them. I really have to say a second time how comfortable they are. My old studio monitor headphones were unbearable after about forty minutes. These can be worn for hours at a time with no discomfort at all. The faux leather on the ear cups is also holding up nicely after owning these for about two years. No cracking or fraying. I've owned a handful of headphones over the years for mixing, listening, and gaming and these are my favorites in terms of comfort by a factor of ten.

[1.2 kHz] Highly recommended if used with the stage preset. Linear and bass boost sounds very average, unless RCF fixed it.

[FAT32] Small, yet powerful. Bass boost and gain work as advertised. Doesn't heat up. Comfortably drives my headphones between 11 and 1. On some Rock/Metal songs with boost and gain, some vocals and distorted guitars will become indistinguishable. With boost and gain nearly all EDM and Pop are sublime. All of this is through Hifiman Edition XS. I own and have compared this to both the Fiio BTR 7 and Shanling H2. Having purchased this i see no need to purchase any other Ifi product

Soon as it arrived I tore open the box to reveal a tower that comes up to my lower chest. Its a monster! The bass that comes off this thing without bass boost is impressive and with BB on it takes it to a new level, whole house was shaking with 30% volume, Id say a bit too kuch bass for indoor use. I have to keep it relatively low volume and had to use the JBL One app to lower the bass in the EQ and still its very punchy. I will definitely be using this for all our upcoming parties as it is loud!! The light show is amazing and I can look at it for hours withiut it becoming too stale. I like the sound pad effects you can customize in the One app as well. Probably wont use the mic and guitar inputs much but its nice to have. The chromecast audio is a bit iffy as it loses connection sometimes mid song on a strong 5 ghz network thats 500 mbps. Dont know what thats about. Another gripe is that when I turn on the bass boost from the app and turn on ounchy bass, I leave the app to change a song The bass boost appears off in the app and I have to toggle back on seems like a bug that must be fixed in the next firmware update I guess. Other than that the button on the top works flawlessly but would like the remote option. Its definitely worth the price tag and anyone will be lucky to hear this beast of a speaker. JBL is simply the best when it comes to audio!

[Download] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent small party speaker. It is light enough to be very portable. When using indoors the bass is excellent on the middle bass boost setting. Outside, I found the upper bass boost setting to be the best. I like the lights on the front, although they don't seem to move exactly with the music. The sound is great (as expected from JBL). I like that you can plug and aux cable into it to use it with any audio equipment (DJ gear). I like that it has a battery so it can be used away from the electrical outlet! All-in-all it is an excellent party speaker. My only complaint about it is there is no on-board storage for the cable. It does, however, fit in the handle area.

[Stereo] This headphone are a giant step up from my Sony MDR-7506's in terms of sound. I used the Sony's mainly for tracking/editing voice over and I will probably still use them for that. The Shure's are tonally quite different. The Sony's emphasize mids to an unnatural degree but make them great for finding and revealing mistakes in audio. I am not sure I would use the Shure's for reference as they do have a boost in the upper bass area away from the Harmon Target. Otherwise they are spot on and sound great with most music. There have been a few occasions where this bass boost can muddy up some songs but this is fairly rare with what I listen to. At first they clamped my head pretty tight but with some use they are becoming very comfortable. For a closed back design I think these are one of the best options for price/sound quality. Satisfied!

[LGA 1200] People assume it won't be good for gaming since it's an i3. But this one has Turbo boost up to 4.3GHZ, which is pretty good for gaming. I can play Modern Warfare in Max settings with high FPS. Definitely recommend this processor if you're trying to cut costs on your PC build.
