[48 kHz] My kid wanted a better mic to use while gaming on his p.c. and didn't want a headset mic. He freaked out when I got him this. It improved his online interactions. With the mic volume and headphone volume plus output right on the mic I felt like we could not go wrong for the money. It came with a stand but we mounted it on a boom arm so it wouldn't be on the desktop and pick up any sympathetic vibrations. All in all, it exceeded expectations.

[Lithium-Ion] Bought these to replace a heavily used, but still-working Bose headset. This time, I needed a bit more “mic access” with quality since I started working remotely where I verbally speak a lot. I’m still getting used to the wireless capability vs always a direct wired connection to my headset. What I have found is that the surround sound is beyond belief. Something that I’ve never quite heard out of good quality headphones. It’s a bit techy for simple headset, but I’m finding myself falling into these more and more each day, as modern tech grows - tv / video / streaming,etc. Listen, for its price, you can’t beat a deal like this. It’s worth every dollar. And I critique heavily at times.. You cannot go wrong with these. But, in another year, I may return and say otherwise. For the moment; so far so good. Absolutely no complaints.

[1.36 lb] This headset is very good. For context - I am upgrading from the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. Operating the headphones is not intuitive and quite different from the QC 35 II. It pays to download the manual which can be found in the Overview tab (you can download it from the Bose website as well). It takes practice to master the equipment, but it is well worth the effort. You will have to download a new APP from the App store. It takes some fiddling to get it working with the headset. There are lots of features (shortcuts, immersive audio etc.) that I don't use because all I want to do is connect to the television and turn on the noise cancellation. I have found that controlling the Ultra with the App is a lot easier than using the fiddly little buttons. The volume strip control works just fine however, just make sure your finger isn't greasy. I am quite happy I bought the Bose QC Ultra headphones.
