[3-Year ] We just purchased this printer for our office, set up was extremely easy, connected immediately to our Wi-Fi and computers. We have been using the printer, fax and scanning all afternoon and it seems to be working extremely well.

[Laser] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using a laserjet printer from a different brand for 10 years now and I decided that it's time to upgrade. Compared to my old laser printer, this is a color laser printer. The old one is only for black and white. The set up and installation is pretty simple and fast. It has a colored 5 inch color touchscreen that enables the use to operate the printer easily. It can hold up to 250 sheets of paper on the tray and 50 sheets for the multi-purpose tray. It is fast and doesn't make a loud noise while printing. It prints up to 35 pages per minute in black and color. You can also print straight from your phone. You can connect to Wi-Fi for cable free connectivity and a USB 2.0 slot is availble as well in case a Wi-Fi connection is not available. My only complaint about it is that it is big, heavy and bulky. But it is not a deal breaker. Because it looks strong and sturdy. All in all I am very happy with my new printer!

[Yes] I bought this printer after first purchasing the M4 301MFP. This particular printer however or multifunction printer offers everything with the exception of built-in Wi-Fi. This was the solution was to purchase the M480 and then install a 3100 W jet direct for Wi-Fi. This seems to be doing everything that we wanted it to do, and in addition, provides us with an economical way to replenish the toner. I would recommend this to a friend.

[Yes] Sharp, precise image. Terrific 2-sided function. A professional laser printer that works beautifully and will be a solid reliable performer for years to come. The one-time set-up is very annoying though. The software/set-up system is a jumbled confused mess. So be prepared. I knew that going in and figured one night's frustration in exchange for many years of excellent service was well worth it. (Tip - use the USB cord for initial set up, including wi-fi info. Then remove the USB cord and use it as a wi-fi printer. Works excellently! (Also - during set up it will suggest you accept printer sharing. Do NOT accept that. It's an unnecessary security risk. Just decline printer sharing and just set it up with your normal wi-fi password and it will work perfectly from any computer on the same wi-fi network. No need to agree to printer sharing.

[512 MB] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The printer was easy to remove from the box and place on the desk. It was relatively light (for an MFP). The printer did not have Wi-Fi and thus was not Wi-Fi ready and was a bit hesitant since I had faced issues with couple of printers from 15 years ago without Wi-Fi and printer from phone or tablet but this HP lasejet was very easy to install and and connect to Wi-Fi. Just connected from the google nest routers back port to the printers network port and all worked perfectly and in 10 minutes I was printing from my iPad, phone and computer. The best features of the printer are two sided automatic printer and the speed. Scanning and copying documents was convenient and easy with the document feeder and the paper tray takes a full load of paper. All in all, very happy with the printer.

[Print] Excellent little printer! Very quick! However, it was a bear to get connected to my network via wi-fi.

Simply following the prompts on the printer's screen allowed me to seamlessly connect to my Wi-Fi network. Since I had already downloaded the HP Smart software, finding the printer through the app was effortless. Once connected, I could print directly via Wi-Fi. The printing speed is impressively fast, and the print quality is crystal clear. After about a week of use, my experience has been exceptional. I highly recommend the HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3101fdw!

[Color LCD] I purchased this printer as a replacement to my WF-100, and love the upgrade especially the ability to print outside my network via Wi-Fi, and not have to worry about a cord. If I had to write one bad thing is when printing on the Wi-Fi you cannot access the internet. But it is still great.
