I bought this so I could easily see the keyboard (letters light up) and the keys feel like that of an electric typewriter (learned to type on a manual typewriter, then switched to an electric). The keyboard has some weight to it so it doesn't slide around the tabletop. Ended up buying one for my husband and he loves it also.
