[Yes] Ideal if you play bass or guitar and sing. It gives you space from your instrument.

[Yes] I use this as the instrument cable for my bass guitar and it really lets the natural tone of my bass shine through. The signal comes out very clear and without any buzz or hum of any kind. The cable itself is very sturdy as well. Only possible gripe on my part about this is that the metal connector on the gold plug tends to twist loose by itself once in a while but it's no big deal. The cable itself is amazing. And the lifetime warranty is a sweet deal as well!

[Polar Pattern] I use these mics on my grand piano, my guitar, and my violin. I would definitely recommend them as an instrument mic pair.

[60 MHz] I use the System 10 for my acoustic guitar , electric guitar as well as vocal mics and instrument mics . I use the System 10 for on stage use and for studio recording . I get clear signals with no cut-outs and awesome sound ! With a great price point ! Sincerely , Derek

[5 Kilohms] I use it for recording on a budget, and it works as a mic and guitar preamp. I would imagine that any other instrument you can plug into it would sound great as well. It has the distinctive sound that you'd expect from a valve. And with a guitar plugged up to it, any but the most picky audiophiles would be hard pressed to tell it apart from a tube amp. It also functions as a splitter as it sends signals through both the XLR and TS (1/4) outputs at the same time. It was so well worth the $ dollars that I ordered a second one within minutes of receiving the first.

[4.0' / 1.2 m] I have used this versatile microphone for instrument recording and tested it's use as a spare/secondary film dialogue microphone. For instrument recording, It sounded excellent used as drum overheads. It captured the full sound of the drums, and did especially well with the highs produced by the cymbals. I also used it as an ambiance mic to record a guitar amp from a distance of roughly 6 feet. It was able to capture details that the up close dynamic mic could not pick up. This mic combined with a close up dynamic mic makes an excellent guitar amp recording combo. As for film dialogue, It actually worked really well. It is not as bassy as other mics, but it captured the voice really well from a distance of about 2 feet, and the voice sounded crisp. It also did well rejecting noise from the room.. I am happy to have added this little mic to my gear inventory
