[0.39 lb] I was hesitant with purchasing this lens mostly for the price. I always buy my lens used or refurbished which helps save money. This was my most expensive lens purchase to date and I was considering the f4 after watching reviews of both the f4 and 2.8. I can't say much about the f4 since I've never used this one but the f2.8 is absolutely insane! Once I pulled it out of the box and started shooting my jaw hit the ground. I still believe the f4 is fully capable of suiting any needs as well if you're one of those people who's just trying to squeeze by from having to spend the money I say go f2.8. It's worth the money!

[Optical] The best film camera you can currently buy. It's a joy to use and such a wonderful experience compared to digital. Highly recommended.

[FUJIFILM G] So you know where I'm coming from: Shot medium format film in the 80's and 90's. Loved the image quality. And because of that experience, I couldn't bring myself to buy a digital camera that was only full frame that cost more than my Mamiya 645! Not trying to start any arguments here, I think digital full frame image quality is generally better than 35mm film, but I still couldn't buy it. Finally, with the Fuji 50R, I found a price point and a cropped medium format compromise I could live with. The Fuji 32-64 and this 250 are the 2 sharpest lenses I've ever owned. The image stabilization on the 250 is fabulous. Even with the 1.4 teleconverter(sorry it's not 1.9 or 2), I have taken seemingly impossible hand held shots at 1/30th of a second. To an old film guy, that's impressive. The engine image is a straight-out-of-the-camera jpg that has been resized for upload, but look at the severe crop of the front where one can easily read where the toolbox is. This is a handheld shot with the 1.4 teleconverter on a moving train. Auto focus and OIS on, F9, 1/180, ISO 400. I can live that.

[Ball Head] Next to an Arca Swiss ballhead the JOBY ballhead is the best buy for any small digital camera. I use the JOBY ballhead with a Leitz ballhead on a tripod with my iPhone 7. Good stuff.

[14-Bit] I had debated whether to go for the refurbished instead of new but decided it was worth it to save almost $300. The fact it was Nikon Refurbished and therefore has a Nikon Warranty means the extra warranty protection from my credit card should also apply. Well I got my camera and except for the fact that it wasn't in the pretty gold box, it looks jut like new - My first picture was shutter activation #1! I am very happy about my purchase and am having fun learning about all of the new features compared to my old D90. I took a group picture at my Rotary Club meeting using the Nikon SnapBridge and was even able to adjust the exposure to compensate for backlighting.

[f/22 to 38] I'll start by saying I'm just a hobbyist photographer. I bought this lens to replace the kit 18-55 that came with my D5300. While I know kit lenses are rarely the greatest, the one that came with my D5300 was so inconsistent that I was about to give up on the camera (my previous camera, the Alpha a5000, did far better on the kit lens). Rather than give up, I decided to try a better lens and took a chance on this refurbished 18-140. The difference is night and day. Indoor photos are now a possibility again, and pictures are much clearer than before. I didn't expect miracles from this lens considering the relative price, but so far I'm quite happy with it. It focuses quickly, and you can hear the VR motors working to hold focus. It adds some weight to the camera, but it still feels well balanced. In regard to physical condition, the lens was really clean. It was a little stiff to zoom at first, but that as since loosened up to a nice balance where I don't think lens creep will be an issue. It came with an unlabeled lens cap, well packaged in a plain box that said it was refurbished by Nikon. I would definitely buy this again for the value to performance, and I won't ever use the kit lens again. (updated review to include a few sample pictures)

[0.25 lb] Was almost in shock as I unpacked the camera. It totally looked like a NEW camera and not a refurbished one. Have had it a week and already taken over 500 pictures. I'm sold!
