Cable For Sennheiser Headphones

Light weights construction for hours of use without fatigue. I believe 2024 marks the 35 years anniversary of this headphones. As glasses wearer, on-ear nature of this headphones works wonder. Since nothing existed in this world is perfect, here are few cons; little thin and easy to get tangled straight cable, coiled cable is also nice to have but little to heavy and long for my taste. Although included Pleather pads are comfy, and gets worn out rather quick. Invest in velour pads like ones from DT770.

[Black] For some reason, I brought a TRRS male to TRS male cable with mic (primary used for old Sennheiser HD485), and I saw this headphones in BH store, and tried it with the cable I brought, and I was surprised how good the sound even with a smartphone (I tested with few YouTube music videos). After I tried with few YouTube music videos, the store started to close, and OK, go for it and I was the last customer left with this HUGE headphones. I put it on when riding train. Sensitivity is actually enough for both music and phone call, but due to the size, it's recommended to listen it at home or office (this headphones is pretty comfortable for extended phone talking with boom mic). After I got in my friend's home, I spent a lot of time to listen to some local music made from CD in FLAC format, and I am blown away how good the sound is (it has a lot of bass but it's not muddy at all) and I like it more than Sennheiser HD598 and ESP500. I planned to buy Sennheiser HD600, but I worry sensitivity is too low for smartphone. The phone is capable with 32bit/192kHz with PowerAmp. Open Air design can let me hear anything around me. Get additional cable with TRRS male to TRS male with mic (or boom mic) and have fun with your smartphone or tablet.

I took a pair of pliers, carefully unplugged the old cable, and easily inserted the new connections. I had all that great sound back in a few minutes. It's a pity we have to throw things away when small bits of them wear out. Good that the Sennheiser folks design this kind of thing in their products.

[Lithium-Ion] these cables are better than the CL100 sennheiser cable I have purchased both these seem way better quality

[36 Ohms] These replaced my old Sennheiser HD 580, open back headphones. I’m a drummer and I chose them for their natural, even sound throughout the entire range. Very comfortable to wear for hours.
