Camera 5D Mark 3

[QD] After reading a few reviews about this camera written by people that probably shouldn't have purchased it...because they clearly didn't know how to handle a camera, I decided it was time to write my own. I make my living with my camera equipment. Two years ago, after years of using 5D, 6D, and 7D cameras, I felt it was time to make the jump to the 1DX Mark II. I was informed that 2017 would be a full race schedule for me and I wanted to step up my game. I figured that if the majority of my income is now coming from motorsports, I should buy the 1DX. From day one of owning this camera, it was an exceptional performer and met all expectations when moving to the best camera model Canon has to offer. The viewfinder, grip, build, viewfinder - it all spoils you! Once you've shot with this, the 5D Mark IV feels like a much cheaper camera...and 5D is a great professional camera. I've seen some people comment on issues they've had with the camera. Much of those "issues" can be explained away from ignorance or unrealistic expectations. But I know that I haven't had any issues with the camera other than an erratic occurrence when using the 580EX II flash where it will lock into firing like a machine gun and not stop until you pull the battery...it was odd and has happened only three times in two years. But this camera has excellent dynamic range in RAW files, reliable and responsive autofocus that works in hardly any light and in heavily backlit situations. I love this camera and I'm honored to be able to afford one and justify the need for my work.

[10] Could it work with a Canon 5D Mark III ?

[Universal] I purchased this shoulder bag for my new camera, Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Unfortunately the camera is too big - or the bag too small - for a comfortable and easy fit. However, I did not return the bag, and this should be a testament to its superb quality and function. I love the waterproofed canvas and the leather detail. The clasps open easily and the shoulder strap is positioned correctly so the bag does not try to tumble if it is picked up at a funny angle. The padded interior provides a safe environment for gadgets, cameras, lenses. The dividers are flexible with velcro edges and can be easily readjusted or folded out of the way. I will use this bag for transporting laptop and/or electronic accessories. For my camera, I went much bigger with the Billingham 445.

[0.45 lb] Upgraded from a 5d Mark iii. This camera is everything. It's incredible. The focusing is unbelievable. It will perfectly track your subject everytime. It is heavier than the new mirrorless models, so hand holding it all day at a wedding is not ideal, but for sports especially and anything short of an all day event this camera is amazing. Also no one else on the sidelines has a faster shutter than me anymore. It was hard deciding between this and the new mirrorless cameras Canon has out. I was concerned because this is potentially the last non-mirrorless body they're making. This was the absolutely the right choice for me. This uses the EF mount, so I needed no new glass and no mount adapter. I also like looking through the viewfinder at real life rather than the simulated shot. Other photographers I know have the mirrorless cameras and they have all had a few common issues with them that I don't have.

[Proprietary] I use this as a 2nd plate for my 5D Mark II. This way I can leave my other plate on my PMW-EX3 and never forget what camera I left it on. A big time saver!

[Black] This was for added protection when packing the camera (5D Mark II) and when using a Lenscoat raincoat. Exactly what I was looking for.

[Magnesium Alloy] I upgraded from my 5d Mark iii of three years and it was the best move! The shutter is quick, in camera functions are fast, and the focus is crisp as ever. Everything I wanted it to do and more! Well worth it. Can’t say I notice a difference with the canon log option though. Would recommend to anyone!!

[3.5 lb] My secondary (old) camera died, so this is my second Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera with Canon Log. I love it.
