[Portrait] First of all, it has lots more distortion than the Canon 14mm and It does not have auto-focus. On a full frame sensor, the distortion is really annoying and ugly. BUT it is meant to be a cine lens and as such this lens is a life saver: it is sharp, the focus barrel has a great range, the declicked aperture ring is fenomenal and, on a S35 sensor, the distortion does not bother me. It is not a master prime, but it fells solid and for the price it is really great. 5 |

[Manual Focus] WAY cheaper than the Canon 14mm lenses, and looks pretty good. Maybe not quite as pretty as an L-series Canon lens, but considering the price, it looks pretty fantastic. A wise purchase. 5 |

[1.625 lb] Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG Him Art Lens for Nikon F is proving itself to be a very good/keeper lens in landscape and astrophotography work. When stoped down to f/2.8, there is very little coma present in Milky Way images. This is my first Sigma lens and I am very pleased with the build quality and performance of the Sigma 14mm f/1.8. [Mini-USB] This is my first star tracker and I got this in conjunction with the Samyang 14mm F2.8 Lens and I have to say, it's amazing. Although a tracker isn't necessary for such a wide angle lens, it still helped me capture magnificent images of the milky way galaxy. I'm going to also get a 135mm F2 lens as well and that's when the tracker will be put to the true test. Will update my review when I get the lens and take both of them for a ride. 5 |
