[Neoprene] I own both the canon 200mm f2 and the 300mm f2.8 lenses and I used them on a 1dmk4 body and 5dsr. They have been the king and queen of all my lenses for a long time. Adopting the Fuji system since the times of the xpro1 era I have always been eager to see developments and roadmaps that fujifilm have. The lenses they release where becoming increasingly better optically. The fujifilm 200mm lens is the lens that radicalises the whole x series system. I have compared the focusing speed, performance, and tracking ability of all three lenses (canons 200 f2 - 300 f2.8 - Fuji 200 f2) and the Fuji lens performance at least as good as the canon super whites if not better. The optical performance is at least as good as my super whites. Distortion is perceivable, and the bokeh is exactly what Fuji users have been wanting (like the bokeh of canons whites). Background melts away in perfect style. This 200mm lens will definitely fit the bill for all sports/wildlife and even portrait shooters. Just like the canon super teles need a 1d body or similar, to benefit from all the tech of the lens, so too does the Fuji 200mm lens need a decent body to benefit from the tracking and focus of the lens. Best combination would be xt3 or xt2 or xh1. The lens balances very well in the hand. Not as heavy as the canon 300mm 2.8. Definitely handholdable! Which is a big advantage. It comes in the best most practical lens case I have ever recieved. Canon is currently trying to sell their super white lens case for US$700!!!! The Fuji is almost identical, and holds the extender and isn’t an additional cost! I believe we will soon start seeing Fuji whites in televised events amongst the see of canons whites. 5 |

[86 mm (Front)] I'm primarily a portrait person and I own an assorted number of Canon lenses. For portrait use, I primarily use the Canon 85 f1.2, 24-70 f2.8ii, 70-200mm f2.8 IS ii and others. I also have exotic varieties like this Otus 85, and Otus 55 and the Canon 200mm f2. The Otus 55 is EXCELLENT for location portrait work where one wants to incorporate more of the environment into the composition. The Canon 200mm f2 creates beautiful bokeh and subject isolation (however it's rather heavy to wield). I rank the Otus 85 to the king of them all. What they say about the Zeiss Otus pop is definitely true. I only see this kind of pop in my Otus 55 and 85, and it's not even there in the 200mm f2. Perhaps my photo editing skills are lacking, but I don't see how I can easily manipulate my non-Otus photos to have that Zeiss pop. The obvious challenge of using this lens is manual focus. Unfortunately, I do find my Canon 5DS to be quite difficult to use in this department. The focus dot on the bottom of the viewfinder is often inaccurate, especially when you shoot at f1.4 (who buys an Otus an not shoot at f1.4?). I've recently found that using the Sony A7riii with the Metabones V adapter with this Otus 85 to be the dream combo. The EVF on the Sony really, really, really makes manual focus much easier on this lens! 5 |

[100mm at f/5.6] Does exactly what it is supposed to - certainly beats the original cover for the Canon 200 F2. 5 |

[f/1.4] WOW!! I used to have the Canon 135 f2 but sold it right after receiving this Sigma 85mm f/1.4. Super sharp with gorgeous bokeh! The only negative...the ONLY one...is that I hate the lens weight. It is kind of heavy on your neck. Probably i need a shoulder belt to carry the camera with this lens. 5 |

[Empty] I bought this case for the Canon 35mm f2 IS lens. It was the recommended pouch for that lens. It dows seem a bit on the large size for that lens, but if needed I can leave the hood attached ready to go and it still fits this case. When the hood is reversed this soft pouch can be folded over at the top to take less space in the camera bag. The only down side is that it wasn't included with the lens itself and had to be purchased as an additional accessory. 5 |
