Canon 24Mm F/2.8 Is

[112 mm] I am pairing this with the Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM with excellent results. The EF 24mm does not extend or rotate when focusing, making it an ideal choice for use with the 1.33x adapter. Used with my (yes, old school) BMCC I get a 40mm horizontal anamorphic field of view which is really very versatile. Also, the lens image stabilization is nice for handheld work. I did add a Smallrig lens support on rails, just for peace of mind, as the lens with adapter is fairly long and front heavy. It flares nicely if you want it to and sharpness and contrast, to me, seem more than adequate - even nice. When looking at options and seeing some of the wacky rigs folks work up to shoot anamorphic, this is really a much better solution.

[f/2.8] Basiclly The lens of Global Dynamics United 24mm 2.8f is the same lens of the Canon 24mm 2.8f EF-S with nice build rehousing with design of metalic red and silver colors and its feel really good build quality in my opinion. I using it with my M6 mark ii with adapter ef-ef-m. this lens is aps-c lens so its working perfect on the camera. overall really cool lens!

[0.155 lb] Perfect fit for the Canon 24mm f2.8.

[58 mm (Front)] Youd think for the price this would have some flaws. At f.1/4 its pretty sharp at f.2 its razor sharp. I did not look at the outer edges of the frames as Im concerned with my subject. Good buy for the price.

[7] For the times I need something wider than 35mm, this little 24mm gets the job done and does it well. Very sharp in my opinion, even at f/2.8. For the price, no complaints.

[0.32 lb] Due to the fact that the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art, does not have a tread, so the specific custom made Adapter gives the secure method of working with Polarizer and Nd Filters I recommend everyone to use this combination

[0.27x] I bought the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM in November of 2023 as a 35-40mm equivalent prime for Canon's APS-C crop and it's actually surprisingly pretty good! The size of this lens is so small, you could fit it in your pocket. Once it's mounted to your camera, it basically feels like you don't even have a lens on it, its quite nice for keeping your setup extremely light. The 24mm focal length on the EF-S mount is close to the 35mm-40mm on a full frame camera, making this lens quite versatile. I have used this lens while walking around with only a wrist strap, it's extremely comfortable to use considering it's so small. However, it doesn't sacrifice too much image quality even with it's small size. There is stronger vignetting around f/2.8, but stopping down to f/4-5.6 yields a lot brighter corners and more sharpness as well. The f/2.8 is extremely handy though when light is not as available, just keep in mind this is not the sharpest f-stop for this lens as is to be expected. You can get reasonable amounts of bokeh with this lens, although you have to be fairly close which can cause some distortion, so be careful when taking portraits. The lens is also able to focus fairly closely which is a big positive, however the STM focusing motor can be a bit noisy and slow, so keep that in mind for video applications. There is also no Image Stabilization, so I would recommend using this lens with a tripod if you are using it for video. Overall, it's hard to not recommend this lens considering how small and light it is. It would be perfect for landscapes, street photography, car photography, and more because of it's reasonably low minimum aperture and tiny, friendly size.

[0.32 lb] This is a great alternative to the Lee filter holder system for the Z 14-24mm f/2.8 lens. It mounts to the end of the lens barrel in the same way one would mount the OEM lens hood, and that along with the set screw will ensure that the holder and any mounted filters will not fall off while working on assignment. This holder will support up to two (2) 100x100mm or 100x150mm ND Grads and is made from quality materials. Highly recommended.

[0.2 lb] I was never very happy with the original Nikon hood for the Z 14-24mm F/2.8s lens because of what I felt was a poor design due to all of the openings around the area where it joins with the lens. It worked but there was a lot of room for improvement in my opinion. This NiSi Lens Hood is made of what appears to be a high quality aluminum, finished very nicely, has clean sharp threads cut in it and a method to securely attach the hood to the lens without causing any physical damage. The fit of this hood to the lens is much tighter and does not allow for the entry of any extraneous light, or dust and dirt, to enter the area between the front lens element and the back of the filter attached to the hood. Very smooth accurate fit to the lens, easy to install and remove. An added bonus is that this hood fits the Z 24-70mm F/2.8 S, the Z 70-200mm F/2.8 s as well as the Z 14-24mm F/2.8 S. I am now able to leave the NiSi ND filter in the hood permanently and just switch out the hood on the lens I am using at the time (factory hoods have clear filters installed) - works great ! ! I will most likely purchase another one of these lens hoods and add another NiSi ND filter to it. Will make changing filters back and forth on the above listed lenses quick and easy. I would recommend this product and will purchase it again in the future.
