[Bayonet] I bought for my Canon EF 85 mm f/1.8. I wish Canon could sell the lens with the hood.

[0.145 lb] Review of the ET-77 Hood for the RF 85mm f/2 Macro Lens. Like all of the new RF Series Lens hoods, this one is exceptionally well designed and is well made. It incorporates a reversible 90 deg. bayonet mount with a very positive lock release button. This hood has an overall depth of 53 mm and an outside diameter of 97 mm so provides maximum shielding for a 85 mm FL lens having a full-frame 28.5 deg angle of view. It fits the Canon 85 perfectly either in normal operating position or reversed, mounts smoothly, and solidly locks in position unlike the older EF lens hoods. It is precision constructed of quality-finished plastic and weights 49 grams.. Like most original Canon accessories, it is a high-profit margin add-on. It's a simple piece of molded plastic costing almost exactly $1 per gram compared to the cost of the RF 85 f/2 which is a complex assembly of polished optical glass, advanced electronics, micro-miniature motors and many precision machined metal parts which costs $1.20 per gram. It does provide the intended function very well, but lens hoods are clearly a blatant profit center for Canon. Bottom Line: A near-perfect hood for the RF 85 f/2 that's outrageously over priced by Canon.

[Multi Coated] Only tested it on an 85 mm and I was very pleased with how it turned out. Can't wait to shoot more with it.

[Full-Frame] I have Fuji 1.4 lenses and the Samyang 12mm. I have never used a lens as astounding as the 85 1.8! It has quickly become my favorite lens and is always on my camera. Focusing is very easy with the peaking on my Fujifilm. There is a very noticeable rainbow flare in direct light, but I love it for the character it adds. I would highly recommend this lens over the 85 1.4 for it's weight, size and sharpness!

[Sony E] It's impressive how small it is and how it focus fast and it's also well built. The quality image is a little bit above my Tamron 28-75 2.8 but is below the Viltrox 85 1.8. I highly recommend it for Street Photography or low budget option. I've returned it 3 weeks later because I decided to buy the Viltrox 85 mm 1.8 to be used in my second camera during weddings. This was the only reason.

[1.495 lb] The 85 f/1.8G was my first 85mm lens and it was my go to lens for portraiture. Even though I had the 105mm f/2.8, I preferred the 85mm. When I shifted to the Z system, I knew I wanted to get the 85mm S native lens. Although its much more expensive than the F mount 1.8G, I must say the 85mm S is sharper and handles distortion very well.

[f/16] The lens lives up to the hype for half the cost of the canon 85

[5.1 lb] This 5-element Lens marked Craftmaster 85 mm f 1.2L externally looks like the Canon 85 mm f 1.2L II USM right down to the red banding. It has 5 elements each made of black silicone rubber and having working surface diameters of 75, 80, 80, and 77 mm respectively. The elements stay connected together through internal magnets. The focusing ring is nicely rubber covered and is 15 mm wide, but manual focusing is rather rough. Although there is an aperture scale, there is no aperture ring. Since this lens does not have a bayonet mount it refuses to fit my 1D Mk IV. By affixing the lens with fresh Gorilla Tape I was able to test the lens. Even in direct sunlight I could not get a correctly exposed image. I suspect that's because each of the 5-elements is completely opaque. Also, autofocus didn't work at all (probably because there is no focus motor). Recommended for its intended use, but not for photography.

[77 mm (Front)] I wanted to try a 85 mm prime lens for portraiture and I tried this one. I get good image from it and love it on my 1.6x 7DMKII (136mm 35mm equiv. which I love) The construction is good, all metal, and image that come out are good. I'd recommend it; good price, good quality, easy enough to use it.
