[Yes] I am very pleased with this Wide-Angle Conversion Lens. Fits nicely on on my Sony AX-53 with the adapter ring. Very impressed with almost non-existent lens distortion you would typically find on a Wide-Angle lens. My only complaint would be the adapter rings that come with it our low quality and a little flimsy. Just be careful putting them on and don't over tighten and you should be fine.

[15 lb] Several improvements over the previous version, better lens cap, GRiii automatically knows it has the conversion lens attached for EXIF data, its a sharp lens conversion lens at weighs more than the camera unit itself, a non issue for myself. The rubber lens hood is adequate, attach it from the rear of the lens barrel to minimize stretching into the grooves, awkward to attach lens cap with lens hood in place. There is the option now to place a 72mm filter on the unit- I have no plans for using a UV filter. The Ricoh GR for me is not complete without the conversion lens, carries on the long 21mm tradition Ricoh is known for.

[Black] Got this conversion lens for my Sony HXR-NX80 FULL HD NXCAM CAMCORDER. It does exactly what I need it to do: give me a wider field of view. PROS: Sharp; well constructed; fits my HXR-NX80 perfectly CONS: None to report Notes: Remove any protection filters and lens hood from the front of the camcorder's lens before mounting the conversion lens.  Purchase the adapter ring: Raynox Tube Adapter for HDP-7880ES Wide Angle Lens & for select Sony Camcorders; the rear element of the conversion lens protrudes a short distance from the rear of the lens and will contact the front surface of the lens on the HXR-NX80 camera due to the way the camcorder's lens is constructed unless the adapter ring is used. This is a zoom-through device, so all functions of the lens are available. Not too heavy. Some vignetting can occur if you do not turn off the image stabilization on the camera while using the conversion lens. Sharp images.

[46 mm] Used for peace-of-mind lens protection. For typical photography, don't need color conversion filters attached to my digital cameras. Been fortunate enough not to have tested protector limits, including impact resistance on rest of camera equipment.

[1.4x] Does exactly what it is intended for and does this very well. I was a little skeptical due to the size and weight of the conversion lens. But in actual use so far it has proved not to be an issue. I now carry the camera and both conversion lens (WCL and TCL) in a very compact shoulder bag. The full outfit seems to handle a variety of scenes competently. The time required to install or remove one of these conversion lenses is only slightly longer than changing a lens on an interchangeable lens camera.

[Multi-Coating] I've used my 21mm Ultra-Wide Conversion Lens for a week now and just finished using it for Autumn landscapes this weekend with great results. I'm seeing that there is little to no IQ degradation in using it, and also find that it is much easier to remove this lens from the end of my 28mm FE f/2 than doing complete lens changes. Actually, when I want to switch I simply remove it, keep it in my hand as I take my shot when I want the longer 28mm focal length, then return it to the front of the 28mm for safe keeping as I walk about. This provides a flexibility very near that of a zoom, but really what I'd call a multi-focal length lens combo. The maximum aperture does drop to f/2.8 from f/2 when adding this conversion lens, but I haven't found that an issue, as I still consider that wide, and allows for good low light capabilities. In Lightroom, my RAW images can be adjusted to control distortion by clicking on the lens profile check box, or shoot JPEG and have it controlled automatically. The add-on conversion lens is recognized in the body and through the RAW converter as a 21mm lens and the adjustments to profile work seamlessly. For the cost, this is a highly recommended piece of kit for your Sony full frame and the 28mm FE prime. BTW, check out the quality and sharpness rating for the FE 28mm on DxOMark. [4 x 3.9 x 1.4"] I needed a lens hood and some protection for my Fuji TCL-X100 conversion lens. This accomplished both with no vignetting that I have yet to detect. Perfect fit. It also retracts!
