Canon Ef 300Mm F/4L Is Usm

[Aluminum] I had absolutely no issues when using this with my Canon EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM Lens, including the lack of vignetting, which was suggested to be a problem given the wide field of view with these shorter lenses.

[Multi Coated] Fantastic lens. I love my EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM, but this fixed lens is so much crisper and better in every way at a fixed 300mm. Even with a 2x extender it's super crisp compared to my old lens.

[Dedicated] The Canon 300mm f/4L IS lens is a favorite close range lens for bird photography, particularly if used with a cropped sensor camera such as the Canon 7D. It delivers sharp images when hand-held using image stabilization at 125th of a second or higher. Additionally, the lens is well adapted for landscape photography using my 5D Mark II.

[Multi Coated] I used my Canon EF 600mm f/4L IS III USM Lens with a 5D Mark IV to take pictures of Elk in the Catahoochee Valley in the Great Smoky Mountain National for three days. I also own a Canon EF 600mm f/4L IS II USM Lens that I took pictures of elk in Yellow Stone a couple of years ago. For images of the same size within the frame and similar lighting conditions I find no discernible difference in the quality of the images. My ,ain reason in pur4chasing the version III was the weight. it is almost 2 pounds lighter and is very hand holdable. I have been using a 300mm F2.8 IS II with a version 3 2X teleconverter for hand holding. The new 600 is only i/2 pound heavier the the doubled 300mm and it will should produce better images. I take pictures of a lot of birds in Florida and often have my 600 version 2 with a 2X converter on a tripod for long distance shooting, and i will have the 600 version three around my neck for shooting flying birds. This is particularly useful at rookeries that have a lot of far away siting and nesting birds with other birds flying away for food.

[Aluminum] I bought this replacement foot for my Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM Lens. It has the same high quality as all the other products I've purchased from Kirk. It attaches very securely to the lens. It is long enough to support balancing the lens on my gimbal head under various configurations ... with and without extenders, extension tubes, bodies of different weights, flash attached, etc. Also, it is very comfortable when used as a handle to carry the lens with camera attached. It is also lighter than the original Canon foot. I'm glad I bought this instead of just adding a lens plate to the original foot.

[Gimbal Head] This mates a Canon EF 500mm f/4L II to a monopod, for birding. It replaced an Induro GHB1 that I used for more than five years, until the smoothness of the tilt function deteriorated. Sealed ball bearings in the GKJr. should fix that forever. Couldn't be more pleased by the fit, finish, and feel of this mechanism.

[Black] This is one product that is able add the 'wow' into your photographs with the new Canon 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM and the 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM lenses. With this accessory, I use several B+W ND filters to allow lower shutter-speeds as required.

[Empty] A perfect fit for my new Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens!

[Bayonet] This lens hood is a perfect fit for my Canon EF 70-300 IS USM Lens. I usually buy only Canon accessories but thought I'd try the Vello this time, and I couldn't be more pleased. The fit is snug so there's no wobble or looseness, and the finish is flawless. I definitely recommend this hood and I'll certainly try other Vello products in the future. Then only downside to my purchase is the S L O W order processing and delivery that is characteristic of B&H Photo :(
