[Autofocus] I already have the EF 85 1.2 and for the longest time I thought the lens was superfluous. At a wedding however I was somewhat frustrated with the EF version. IN LOW LIGHT it had trouble finding the focus and seemed sluggish while the motor churned away. On Black Friday this year I took the plunge and got the RF. One shot and I was blown away. The speed, accuracy and sharpness was out of this world. Any doubts I had were swept away. One shot alone justified the price tag. I also picked up the 50 1.2 RF. Same story again. The EF can't compete with it. The 85 is the more magical of the two, but the 50 is probably more versatile. Both lenses are well worth every penny. The pictures speak for themselves. I felt like a precision sniper. Rarely did I miss a shot. The Bokeh was amazing. I got the regular 85 as I did t want to lose a stop of light for a more rounded out bokeh. Glad I did. Fast and beautiful.

[Glass] I have been using B W Filter for several years. I also have used HOYA HD3. I am a huge BW Filter Fan Boy. I will not use any other Filter with my canon L glass. Canon EF 85 1.2 II Canon EF 50 1.2 CANON EF 35 1.4 II I use the Clear Filter does not effect White Balance or Color inside the camera. I was using haze and if you live by the Beach Haze will be fine. If you do not live by the beach or ocean use the clear. I use Clear for general Photography and as a Protection on all my lenses..

[Glass] I've purchased this filter to pair with an expensive lens such as a Canon EF 50mm 1.2L. This filter has an excellent construction, comes with a nice pouch, and the results are amazing, especially at the beach.

[TFL-II] I have an 85 1.2L, 50 1.2L, and now a 16-35 II 2.8L -- thisis probably the best wide lens I've used. I was debatingbetween the 35L and the 16-35 II 2.8L. I know I made theright choice. Expertise: Semi-Pro Previous Equivalent Item Owned: 10-22 Canon Items I Recommend: Canon 40D, 50 1.2L, and 85 1.2L

[0.265 lb] I have a number of Samsung NX500 cameras because I love them so much, especially after being able to mount Canon 50 and 85mm 1.2 on them- wow the images and videos are amazing thanks to this device.

[Leica M] No problem with a number of my Canon EF, Tamron, and Sigma lens. Even tried my 50+ year old Pentax super takamar 50mm f1.4 lens with Fotodiox PK to EOS adapter. Of course to manage expectations, you have to work in the manual setting on the Hasselblad X1DII and adjust everything but focus is quite clean and you need to deal with vignetting, but that was expected. Well built, solid tight attachment.

[0.03 lb] We rented just about every 50mm EF lens available to use for video on our Canon 5D Mk III and Canon C100. We normally always shoot with Canon L glass but were unhappy with the results of the 50 1.2L so we rented most of the available 50's out there. We were just about sold on the Zeiss 50mm f/2.0 Makro-Planar ZE Macro but we saw all the great reviews of the new Sigma Art serries 35mm and the rumor that a 50mm was soon coming, so we waited to try it. We rented the lens for a weekend shoot and I placed my order to buy the lens before the shoot was even over. The color, contrast of the lens is beautifull, and the sharpness even wide open is amazing. The build quality is equal to the Canon L series, although not weather sealed. However it is big and heavy. For VIDEO it's the auto focus is not the fastest we use, but we do not use auto focus that often anyway. We use our 50's a lot and this so far has not let us down in the few weeks we have ha with it.

[Autofocus] I was so excited about getting this lens after owning a previously much slower focusing EF 85mm f/1.2. This lens is one the sharpest and fastest focusing lenses in my bag and just as good as the RF 135 f/1.8. I almost always shoot wide open at f/1.2 and the focus never fails. It results in such beautiful background separation and is rivaled only by EF 200 f/2.0 lens. This is a must have lens for a wedding and portrait photographers.

[Neoprene] I had the Sigma 50mm EF lens so the first RF lens I purchased was the 28-70 2.0 RF zoom. That zoom was so good I didn't feel I needed the RF 50mm. The second lens I purchased was the 85mm 1.2 RF which is a beast of a lens. There were a few purchases along the way and I finally decided to go ahead and get the 50mm 1.2 RF. WOW, this is the one that says on my camera unless I need one of the other specialties. It's funny how some think it's a large lens but isn't for me as I lived with the two other beasts and this is a light weight. Quality image and fast focus.

[0.74 lb] I tested a 50/f1.4, 50/f1.2, 24-105/f4, 28-135/f3.5-5.6, 85/f1.8, 35/f2, 24-70/f2.8, 70-200/f2.8, and Tamron 150-600/f5-6.3. Autofocus works just was well on my M50 with the Speedbooster as the lenses did without it. Actually, most seem faster, maybe because the speedboosted image is brighter. AF, IS...you won't even know the speedbooster is there. More lenses to test, but these I've tried so far functioned as advertised, were reasonably sharp to the corners, and most vignetting, distortion, and CA could be fixed by Adobe Camera RAW lens fix just as they could without the Speedbooster. ACR did not detect the underlying lens, but the actual lens could be selected and then ACR lens correction functioned properly. Data reported to Adobe Bridge varied, with the usual being focal lengths shown as the actual x .71 (24-105 shows up as 17-74.). Max apertures were all one stop faster, and show up that way in the camera and in Bridge--except for the 50/1.2 which shows its original apertures (Metabones will not report apertures under 1.0 so as to avoid errors in cameras and software, so the 50/1.2, which would be f0.85 shows as 1.2.) The 50 1.4, and all lenses of F1.4 or slower, though is reported as 1 stop faster. All in all, the quality seems good enough and brings new utility some old lenses, and new ones too. If you have a Canon mirrorless and a bunch of full frame EF lenses, this could be useful, and it's less expensive than Metabones' other Speedboosters. And really, haven't you always wanted a 50mm F1.0?
