Canon Lens Warranty

[United States] Canon offers the exceptional CarePak Plus warranty which covers virtually any problem for four years. I especially appreciate that the warranty is transferable if you sell the equipment. Canon will even test and fine tune the auto focus mechanism if it’s even slightly off focus so you do not have to perform inaccurate paper lens checks to calibrate your lens. Bravo Canon for this level of service.

[2-Year ] I find it comforting to be able to extend Canon's short warranty period for an extra year, especially to cover a brand new product. It gives me piece of mind, so I'm giving this option a 5-star rating.

[0.875 lb] There was confusion at first due to no USA warranty card in the box. However after contact with B&H and Canon, we were able to verify it is a USA product and the warranty is printed in the Australian Warrant enclosure.

[Extended] Canon only has a 1 year warranty so to extend it for 3 years on a $400 piece of glass sounds good to me.

[700 mL ] I never substitute Canon inks - there is a difference and you can jeopardize the warranty. But that doesn't mean I don't like getting quality for a good price. I like the fast turn around by B&H - everything goes so smoothly. Thanks for your attention to detail. Kim Gilley

[United States] It’s the same price to order this extended warranty through B&H as through Canon directly. B&H makes it easy and I like to support them because of the great care they give on the rest of my orders. You can add this at the time of your order/pre-order, or you can tack it on within 90 days afterwards. I’m told it doesn’t change your place in the pre-order que if you add this after the original pre-order. I have found Canon’s service and repair through CPS to be great, so. I would expect the same via Canon CarePak. The warranty prices were less than similar offers from a major big box retailer.

[Extended] I really like this extended warranty from Canon that also covers damage. Shooting professionally you know sooner or later you'll get a piece of gear banged up and this can save you.
