[7.4 VDC] As a professional having owned the best of Canon, Nikon, Fuji and Olympus this has thus far been a very refreshing and fulfilling experience with the S1. First of all it is built to the very highest standards and weighs accordingly. This is NOT a camera for those looking for a small lightweight mirrorless camera. This is a camera for those looking for professional results and a build quality that assures many years of use in the field or the studio. It has by far the most customizability of any camera Ive ran into. Ergonomically its clear this was designed for the human hands, not just as an afterthought. The single focus speed is lightning quick and accurate, so ideal for a portrait or landscape photographer. I havent yet put it through its paces regarding tracking fast moving subjects, but I suspect this wont quite be in the Sony league regarding that. Every tool has its strengths and weaknesses and ones choice must be based on THAT tool meeting their particular needs. The color science on this camera is without a doubt the ONLY one Ive ever used that easily competes with Canon. Sharpness and Detail with this sensor is as good as it gets. The EVF will truly impress as its the FIRST I can honestly say would cause one to give up their OVF. NO lag, unreal accurate portrayal of the scene and sharpness that makes manual focus instant and accurate. Ive never experienced that before. The optics with even the 24-105 so called kit lens is beyond the competition and Ive used the Canon and Sony so thats where Im coming from. My 24-105 is sharp from one end to the other at all corners so quite an achievement. I had not considered Panasonic as a real player in this field until now. Glad this didnt disappoint.

[LED] Ive been a professional photographer now for the last 21 years now. Ive done Weddings, Portraits, Product Photography and Real Estate for pay but love Landscape and Wildlife. I followed the progress of this camera and before pulling the trigger on a Sony again (had several of their A7 series), Fuji (had a few of their top dogs as well) or Canon (started with them) I couldnt resist trying out a S1 with the so called kit lens. That term is a bad joke referring to a lens that in my testing out found to be superior to ALL other 24-105s out there. The Viewfinder is an epiphone and will turn any OVF off of that technology. The build simply imparts one with the knowledge they are dealing with a precision device, not just another camera. The LCD is solid as can be not the typical weak wobbly affair of most other cameras. The shutter is like butter! The big unfortunate LIE out there on the internet due mainly to the fact users are NOT properly setting their camera up, is that the focus system has issues. I came from working with a A7III, Canon R and Nikon Z6 and frankly the S1s focus is not only more accurate but lightning FAST! Anyone having issues with this cameras focus need to read Panasonics extensive explanation of how to set up their focus system.  The ergonomics have literally set the bar for others that need to start following. Battery life once again if set up properly can yield at least 500+ shots at minimum. The 24-105 f4 is a lens that is essentially sharp edge to edge across its entire focal range and has NO discernable chromatic aberrations. All I can say is if youre on the fence or considering a professional tool you simply HAVE to work with one, and DO set it up properly. Youll be in love.

[Three straps] Tamrac is a quality brand I have used throughout my career as a professional photographer. This bag is lightweight and very portable. Just what I need when I don't want to draw attention that I'm carrying professional camera equipment. I can put my camera and 2 lenses in the bag easily.

[Empty] I am a professional engineering consultant and I do a lot of camera photography as well. I needed a backpack instead of a briefcase. I searched high and low for all sorts of camera bags but none could offer a sweet spot to serve as a dual camera bag and office bag backpack. Many camera bags would focus too heavily on camera gear and little on business functionality. I have very high end and expensive professional camera gear but only use four prime lenses. After much thought and deliberation, I decided to change my focus from trying to find a camera bag that does business to finding a business bag that I can also use for my camera gear. Equipped with some lens pouches, I can securely place my expensive camera gear in my backpack and have all the functionality of a mobile office as well. The Samsonite Openroad backpack does not disappoint and I have already bought the 15.6 inch backpack as well as the larger 17.3 inch backpack. Love it, Love it, Love it. I hope Samsonite keeps this functional and comfortable to carry Openroad backpack in their line up for many years to come as I have referred many to buy this well made backpack. [Yes] my veery 1st professional camera bag. Went with all trips, shoots, now, campus color faded, short handle started ripping off BUT still workhorse. Back then paying bag over $100 was big purchase for me. So I researched and found photo journalist uses Domke which totally made sense. It's SO discreet that It won't look like camera bag and that was the reason why I got since I used to shoot very sketchy places & documentary stuffs. It's very versatile. And campus material is so analogue & age with us, our path. strongly recommend.
