[Download] This is my first purchase of a scanner specifically for photos and I wanted to get one that would also do 35mm slides. I researched scanners online and decided on this one and I'm glad I did. It does an excellent job of scanning multiple photos at one time and up to 4 slides at one time. The quality is outstanding and I love the software that comes with it.

[Download] I was familiar with Epson flatbed scanners from using them at the newspaper I work at, so I kind of knew what to expect. This is a newer version than any we have at work, though, and it is better than what I've used before. I've used it thus far to scan a couple hundred old family photos for a digital projected image show at the funeral of a close relative. Everyone was in awe of the great, sharp, and colorful images of 50-year-old photos. I use it with a MacBook Pro equipped with Photoshop. Also have scanned dozens Kodachrome slides. It did a great job. Use of the slide holder made the effort easy. I anticipate using it in this capacity hundreds of more times as I develop digital projection shows for groups in my hobby from among the thousands of slides I have taken in the past 22 years.

[49 x 18 x 13"] I'm using the stand for archiving old books, photos etc that are unsuitable for flat bed scanners. Working with a tethered Canon G9, but the stand will work well with prosumer SLRs. I light the subject with 2 anglepoise desk lights from an office supplies store - better value than Kaiser lighting units. I like the solid construction, hand crank height control and adjustable distance from column. Square grid on base board assists subject alignment. Like all other copy stands in this price range, care is needed to point the camera perpendicular, if you mind about avoiding geometric distortion. A hotshoe-mounted bubble level and/or a small mirror placed facing the camera lens solve this issue.

[25 x 17.5 x 11"] I restore photos for a living and always use Epsom scanners. I have tried other brands and they don’t compare. I have had one for over 20 years and it still works fine. I bought this one for an upgrade and it has lots of new benefits and features.i was happy to find that B&H ships to Hawaii. It arrived quickly and was easy to use immediately.

[4.175 lb] I had a lot of old family photos that I wanted to scan. I compared a lot of scanners, however, this is what I thought was the best choice. It scans in high resolutions in an ample amount of time. The scans are high quality and the scanner is well priced. I highly recommend!

[Extended] The scanners are not cheap. So you better cover all hardware.

[6.9 x 4.6 x 2"] We use the Canon printer for photos of our visitors - it is the best system for this.

[0.23" / 5.75 mm] I use these for barcode scanners in manufacturing lines and they do a great job.
