[Flip Lock] I work as a cameraman for TV and normally we still use the big expensive Sachtler tripods built for the Betacams. Last year I wanted to get a cheap tripod for my little Canon 5DM3. The possibility to get a Sachtler at this price sounded too good to be true, but trying it at the store, you get this Sachtler feel for tilts and pans. I was convinced. Now, it has become the goto tripped for most of my work. I can put an iPhone on it and it works, I can put a Canon C300 on it and it works, I can even put my big Sony PDW700 ENG camera on it and it is still usable in most situations. Having such a flexible and lightweight tripod is amazing. But is is not perfect. The pan doesn't have enough drag for my taste and there is a tiny little rebound at the end of the move. Also, when you install a slider, you should do it sideways and not in the axis, because even if you have the head looked down, there will be a bit of sagging at the end of the run. This tripod will stay with me for a very long time.
