They were available, affordable and easy to install. The Power Supply is an inline DC supply, not a plug-in wall wart. This has been my go to HDMI extender kit. Kramer devices always works. 5 |

[836,517 hours] After a recent renovation, I ran cat-5e to every room in the house, in hope of having less traffic through the wireless and a more secure environment. It just made sense at that point to upgrade to GigE, and this product was perfect for the project, given the extra number of connections. 5 |

[1x USB-C] Not many laptops come with an RJ45 Ethernet connection anymore. I don't know it's faster than wifi, but it's definitely not slower. Enabled me to use my CAT6a cable to go directly to my router. Just plugged it in my Windows 10 laptop, and it works great. 5 |
