Cat5 Vs Cat 6 Ethernet Cable

[0.51 lb] I am very pleased with my green CAT Snagless Unshielded (UPT) Ethernet network patch cable. It goes very well with the red and blue cables that I have previously puchased from Cables 2 Go. They offer a quality product at reasonable prices and they are my “go to” source for cables.

[1] This is used to connect a Cat 5 Ethernet to a type-C on my Chromebook. It is delicate, but does the job. The body does get warm when in use, something I was not expecting.

[1' / 0.3 m] Had to run a cat 6 cable under the building as the old cable had seen the end of its life. The Pro AV/IT Cat 6 Heavy-Duty Snagless Patch Cable filled the bill nicely and it was a very easy run installing it under the building which is a not so nice environment. It was easy to run with no kinks in the cable. I feel confident that this new cable will far outlast the last one.

[10.6 x 7.7 x 3"] I needed to run a USB cable from my computer to another device .. but the other device was about 30 feet away and normal USB just won't work at those distances. This little device allows you to run USB over a CAT5 (or CAT5e or CAT6) cable .. over a hundred feet. It plugs into a USB jack on the computer, thru an adapter to CAT5 cable, and on the other end connects to a small powered adapter and back to USB .. Works fine. A great way to extend the reach of USB. Completely transparent to the computer and to the external device .. no software required. Just connect and use.
