Cellular Phone Antenna Gain

[Black] THE mxta26 Gain Whip Antenna is great. I use it with my MXT575 radio which is also a fantastic purchase I highly recommend.

[4-Channel] I got this today and it works great with my cell phone, it even came with a 3.5mm to 3.5 mm cable for cellular use...I was surprised..also do yourself a favor..install the gain jumpers as stated in the directions..it will give you more audio on a noisy day. HTH

[6 Hours ] This microphone has great audio as long as the phone is in airplane mode. If it is not, any communication over the cellular antennas causes the ticking and distortion other reviewers have mentioned. When in airplane mode though, the audio is clean. I prefer to shoot video in airplane mode anyway so my recordings are not bothered by text messages or phone calls. So, this is no big deal for me. I love the mic and the build quality.

[0.74 lb] I have a cellular phone based app that I use for my intercom. So I use these so my camera ops in the field can clamp them to the camera tripods and put the phone right in front of them. They work awesome. Highly recommend and will be buying more.

[1x USB-C ] I bought it to accentuate the sound of my car speakers when I play music through my phone. You can really feel the impact on high gain, and it's good for drowning out road noise but low gain is where it's at in terms of clarity.

[Cardioid] Although you can't manually set the gain from the phone (AFAIK) it does work. I used it with the Shure SM11, an Electrovoice RE20 and it should work even with the SM7B, though I didn't test. The Shure software on windows has something to be desired (like it defaults to phantom power!) but is otherwise useful.
