[Metal] Works great with my new computer without vga socket. I do many presentations with it and even where a projector has hdmi often only the vga is available because of ceiling mounts, etc. Has worked well and is much smaller than some other converters I've seen.

[9 x 8 x 1.5"] I bought this to connect my aging Samsung monitor, which only has DVI and VGA inputs, to my new computer which only has DisplayPort and HDMI outputs. Since the monitor doesn't have a sound system in it, DisplayPort is the natural choice, and I use the HDMI of for my pen tablet. Cable works flawlessly with no problems in picture quality and has plenty of length to be able to stow the computer out of the way. It feels durable enough to last many years.

[3.8 oz / 107 g] Dont forget that this kind of adapter only works in one direction! In this case, the vga is on the computer and the HDMI goes to the monitor.  Our system is now up and running. We used  this adpter in conjunction with an active HDMI cable.

My 2nd monitor is old and rickety but, hey, it still works. My new computer can't even spell VGA. Now that I have this adapter they play well together

[20 to 90%] Bought this because we have an older computer with VGA outputs and we need a specific resolution at our video mixer. So, for us we have a format converter and a scaler in one unit. Makes installing the system less complicated. Also, when we upgrade the computer, we can switch it to use the HDMI input.
