[Round: 25 mm] By far an excellent product, heavy dutuy and air cushioned, perfect for location work with the monolights I use. Has the spreaders at the bottom that one can use to stake the stand into the ground or use sand bags while on location outside, a big plus. The stand is sturdy, light enough to transport easily, and priced right for a studio on a budget, and I am not saying these are cheap, far from it, but a lot of bang for your $.

[14.4 VDC] I have been considering a number of options for battery powered TTL location strobes, but was nervous about having a heavier moonlight up in the air. If you dont know, its fairly windy in the Texas Panhandle! I had the opportunity to use another photographers ELB 500 kit while at Shutterfest and loved it. Everything that is up in the air is very light making it stable on a stand, or super easy for an assistant to handhold on a boom. The pack and battery unit are reasonably light too and easy to shoulder or hang on a stand. With Skyport exposures are accurate and easy to control. The light color is superb, and with an adapter full-size Elinchrom modifiers can be used. I have a 12x55 strip on a head right now and love it. I was weighing this against the Profoto B2s, but more power at a better price...Im happy.
