[25 W (Maximum)] ... This is the unit you need. For that deep, rich and smooth like butter voice. But apply it carefully! Like eye makeup, the right amount enhances, beautifies and seduces. But too much or the wrong color, and yikes! Things get pretty awful in a hurry. And the Channel Master really is that, a cosmetic treatment to enhance the character and timbre of your voice. Feed it first with a top-notch microphone. A great fit for my post-production voiceovers is the EV RE27. Then lightly, gently apply the Channel Master's effects. Like a chef adds a dash of spice to boost flavor, but not so much that the food itself is overshadowed. It is easy to overdo it with the Channel Master... if a little bit of Big Bottom or the Aural Exciter sounds nice, then a little more will sound even better, right? No, no. A gentle touch is the key. Take your time, keep adjustments subtle... and when you're done and ready to mix, you will be astounded by the quality and clarity that the Channel Master has enabled. I run it via A/SPIDF into an RME Fireface UCX which serves Word Clock and routes firewire into my Mac and Adobe Audition. I've been doing voiceovers for TV and radio for 40 years, and I've used all the gear and tried all the tricks. This lashup is clean, simple and the best I've ever heard, and helps make me today the best I've ever sounded. Meanwhile, B&H is marvelous, I've always found their service, advice and price to be the best. 5 |

[0.28 lb] I saw this in a store and immediately noticed the advantage of having this in addition to the regular bowl that came with my Forza 60. It's a great product, though I prefer to use the fresnel attachment most of the time. If you don't have that lens, this is a great choice to use with some flags and a bounce. 5 |

[Autofocus] Using this on my Sony A7RV and taking advantage of the demanding 60 mega pixel sensor. Images are tack sharp and the rendering is awesome. Shooting head shot portraits are a blast and my customers love the look. The bokeh is nice a smooth with no onion rings. I wanted the GM 135mm, but this lens will get the job done just as good. For fast action though, the GM 135 is the way to go for a lot more $$$$ 5 |

[Aluminum Alloy] I use this thread reducer to attach a digital camera directly to a copy stand. The large diameter of 60 mm allows to torque it firmly and remove it easily when no longer needed. The workmanship and anodizing are impeccable. 5 |

[Standard] I use this cable to connect a Midas 32 channel digital stage box with a mixer, in a variety of venues, for recording gigs that generally last one evening. That makes for a lot of setup and tear-down. ProCat-5 cable is expensive, and takes a week or so for delivery, but it's worth every bit. This cable has a rubber jacket that is very tough. Best of all, it lays dead flat, making it easy to keep out of the way or tape down in traffic areas. I keep 100' to 300' on reels, but small stuff (25', 50') is easier to carry in taped coils. I keep a few Neutrik Ethercon unions on hand to combine lengths. I have some hard jacket cable, which is supposed to have better transmission. However I have no data issues with Procat-5 cable at all. 5 |

[24-Bit] Use to mix drum mikes down to one output channel for home digital recording. Recently purchased, so limited use. Simple to use, fantastic performance. No cons to date 5 |

[3.2 x 3 x 1.4"] I was looking for an alternate option to the Sony G-Master 50mm - something that wouldn't break the bank. My requirements were that it needed to be at least f1.8, needed to be full frame, needed autofocus, and wanted something smaller and lightweight compared to the G-master. I tried a variety of options and settled on the Viltrox - I'm glad I gave it a chance, since many review have been harsh, I almost didn't. The lens AF works well even in low light on my Sony a7S III. I was expecting it to hunt a lot more but it was fairly solid. Not G-Master level but certainly usable on professional shoots. It's sharp, sharper than I was expecting. I ended up liking it so much I also bought the Viltrox 24mm. Both together were still half the price of one G-master lens. I'm going to invest in some more CFexpress A memory cards with the money I saved. Woohoo! If you'd like to see samples I shot - check out Film Jams on YouTube. 5 |
