[0.085 lb] This card reader makes it so easy to take data off of my micro-SD card.

[USB Bus Power] This card reader is 5 Gb/s USB-C  3.2 Gen 1, with the USB-C cable permanently attached and performs as expected. Transferring 9GB of data took about 16 seconds to transfer on a MacBook Air. The speed will vary depending on your card and computer. I have included pictures with this review. I like the convenience of having also the SD and SD Micro SD ports in this device in case I need. On the Micro SD, I'm tired of having to use adapters. This card reader, I just insert the Micro SD as is. And of course, this card reader has a LED indicator. For durability, the entire unit is made of aluminum. [0.72 lb] This card reader is very convenient and I never had a card reader that offers both, USB Type-A Male, USB Type-C Male USB 3.1 / 3.2 in one piece. Pretty cool. It also features a Micro SD card slot, which for me, it's very convenient, and the fact that it doesn't have any cables like most of my card readers do. With this one, you just plug it in nice and clean. Also, the Micro SD card slot, some adapters I've seen, they don't lock the card in. This Xcellon card reader does. Fully insert the Micro SD card and it will securely lock it in just like a GoPro camera would. Comparing to other card readers I have, this Xcellon card reader performs just as good. Keep in mind that, the speed /performance will vary depending on what SD CARD and MICRO SD card you have. If you have a fast capable card, the card reader will perform very well. Before inserting cards, observe the correct way to insert (see pictures I attached with this review) This device works straight out of the box, the price is very affordable and it does what I expect it to do, plus I can choose to flip either side...USB3 or USB-C. [0.35 lb] The Lexar 3.1 Reader has worked reliably every day for the last few months. It seems to allow nearly full read & write speed of v30 and v60 SDXC cards when connected to a USB-C port with an adapter and also works as expected on USB 3 Type-A ports. The bright indicator LED changes from red to blue when a card is mounted. Insertion and removal of SD cars is smooth and easy with no scratching of card contacts. I don't use micro SD cards, so haven't tried the micro SD slot yet. Idle current for the LED and interface chip is a low 31.4 mA (no card inserted) and the reader stays cool during extended use. Seems to be a reliable card interface at a reasonable price.

[0.085 lb] The micro SD card case ought to have a slot dedicated to this reader.

[Steel] After purchasing the ProGrade brand Dual Slot SD card reader this brand would not connect to my laptop using the usb-c cable. B&H said you most likely have a bad usb-c cable. After trying two PROGRADE card readers neither one of them would connect. After settling on the OWC dual slot SD card reader, I wish I would have made the OWC purchase from the start. OWC has a plug and play device that connects right out of the box. It's tethered usb-c cable tucks into a slot on the base of the unit so you never lose your connecting cable. Nicely engineered product! Plus it's $10.00 less than the PROGRADE brand. The OWC dual slot SD card reader is a solid purchase!

[5 to 16 VDC] I've been waiting for a good card reader to come out that had a USB-C connection! I haven't tested it side by side with my old reader, but I definitely get the sense that this one is taking full advantage of the speed of the memory cards. I use all three of the sizes it handles (the mini-sd, sd, and cf), so it has been a great, solid tool. It's also built very nicely. It's not a cheap plastic, like some others.

[0.095 lb] Since my new Mac doesn't have the older USB ports or sd card reader, this has really come in handy!!
