Bought to prevent scuffs and scrapes it won't provide much protection from falls and I wouldn't expect it to that isn't really its intended purpose..... P.S. The carry handle is very handy and lays flat should you decide to pack it in a suitcase etc..

[1.3 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works to charge both my Lenovo laptop and Chromebook at a decent speed. Very similar to the original cords that came with those devices. Can’t speak to durability yet but hoping it will last.

[SATA III] Could be faster but makes a good target for travelling storage. I transfer my images to my laptop disk every evening when traveling. Then I copy the folder to this drive and reformat the card for the next days shooting. The metal case takes care of heating.
