The outdoor component of the door bell connects easily, two wires and it securely connects to its base. Wi-Fi setup and connection is easier than ever if you already have a nest product to assist with setup. From out of the box to fully installed and operational in less than 20 minutes.

[Silver] I've had a good experience using this microphone. It picks up clear audio and it comes with a large dead cat for windy days. If I had a complaint it would be that it doesn't come with a second smaller black foam wind cover for more calm days because the dead cat that it does come with is quite large.

[1' / 0.3 m] Had to run a cat 6 cable under the building as the old cable had seen the end of its life. The Pro AV/IT Cat 6 Heavy-Duty Snagless Patch Cable filled the bill nicely and it was a very easy run installing it under the building which is a not so nice environment. It was easy to run with no kinks in the cable. I feel confident that this new cable will far outlast the last one.

[328' (100 m)] I run about 62' long CAT 6.

[Steel] Have run 300' Cat 6 with these and there has never been an issue

[5 VDC] Works well. We are using it over a very long cat 6 cable.
