I recently used this system for 8 hours of interviews on and off and the battery life was great. There was no interference and my subject was about 15 feet from the interviewer. What I love most about this kit is how easy it is to set up. Turn everything on and it auto syncs and you are ready to go. I was also impressed with the quality of the audio capture. The omnidirectional microphones picked up their voice clearly and without any distortion, even when they were moving around. [11.04 lb] As a voice over artist--The combo of my microphone (AT875R) and audio interface (Audient iD4) had me pumping the gain knob to 4 or 5 'o clock on the dial..which in turn made for a TERRIBLE, hissy, noise floor...which in turn made me add Noise Reduction / hi pass filters, etc..much to the detriment of the overall quality of my audio clips. Now that I've added in the in-line phantom preamp, my gain knob is BELOW the 12'o clock position. So, the signal is boosted, and I'm not having to over-crank my interface just to get my speaking voice between -12db / -6 db, AND I'm using far less noise reduction/filters. The only downside is you can't dial in sounds/frequencies...however, it's an in-line preamp...so...that's the way it is. Know that going in, and you'll be fine. If you want a preamp that you can tinker around and play with different sounds, then this is not for you.

[2.4 GHz, 5 GHz] I already have Google Mini's, and we had an old fashioned alarm clock that we just used for time. This replaced both of those and does better than they did individually. Not sure why, but the microphone seems to be better on this than the Mini was, and the clock is bigger and easier to see at night. The fact that it has visual queues when asking google questions, is a huge help. Right now we just have one, but i want to get another one to put on each night stand. Great little gadget, especially when you can get them on sale!
