[USB Bus Power] This StarTech USB 3.0 Flash memory Multi-Card Reader/Writer with USB-C doesn't fool around or waste time, it gets the job quickly and efficiently. The price was right as well.

[SDXC] Perfectly fine memory card with nifty OTG Reader that plugs into USB port.

[1x PCIe 3.0 x16] Easy to install. Works well with my USB 3.0 card reader and USB 3.0 external drive. Both are noticeably faster than the USB 2.0 interfaces that came with my computer.

[0.9 lb] This is a nice compact 7 port USB hub. I didn’t order it for the switches, but it turns out they are very useful. If you have a card reader or a portable drive plugged into this you can just turn them off with the switch when you don’t need them. My Hoodman card reader gets warm plugged into a USB port when it’s not in use. So I just turn it off and save wasted power instead of fumbling around with the cables trying to unplug it. I’ve had it for a week and it’s worked fine with two card readers and a portable external drive while I been transferring my photos.

[Bus Powered] I'm surprised at how small this drive is. It's smaller than my card reader. When used with USB C connection (PC), it is crazy fast at moving files. It connected to my iPad Pro flawlessly and plays HD from the drive with no lag. It looks like it was designed to match iMacs and other apple devices (looks great). I'm a PC myself. This drive does not work with my iPhone 11Pro max. I believe it only works with tablets and PC/Macs.

[USB Bus Power] I have ProGrade Digital 128GB UHS-II v60 card. The file transfer speed from the reader to old Crucial M500 SSD through USB 3.2 Gen 1 5Gbps Type-A is over 200 MB/s. (MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4 motherboard. end of 2021). Similar speed to a regular Seagate 7200rpm 2TB drive. Haven't tried the Gen 2 10Gbps port. The speed is just over 100 MB/s on an 8 y/o motherboard like Asus Z87-A. First gen of USB 3.0 Enjoy the fast speed w Sony UHS-II card reader. but i don't drive fast :)

[0.045 lb] I wanted to know the actual Write speed, but didn't get a real world answer. But SanDisk is a GREAT brand (I have several USB drives & Memory cards), so I purchased the 512GB version and tested it myself connecting the USB-C plug to a new Galaxy S22 smartphone with USB-C port. - TEST RESULTS - Transfer of one 2.25GB Video file: Write speed: 43 MB/s Read speed: 100 MB/s - IMPORTANT NOTE: These results might be the optimal since it was ONE large file and the USB Drive was empty (except for that file when reading, so no fragmentation of any kind). With MULTIPLE files, the speed is lower, as on EVERY SSD, HDD, USB Flash Drive and Memory Card. - As every very compact USB drive with two different USB ports on each end that I have used, it gets a bit hot, but so far I never have any problem with any of them. - This one is compact, sturdy and clicks on each USB port position. It also has a hole for carrying. - I am Very happy with my purchase. - If you want faster Read/Write speeds, then an option is to buy Sandisk Extreme Pro SD Card and use an USB Card reader to use it as a USB Flash drive, but total cost is the double of this VERY COMPACT and STURDY USB Drive. Hope this helps other people.
