Compact Flash Drive Reader

[6.6 x 4.95 x 1"] I did not have a compact flash reader. This was on sale, so...

[0.9 lb] This is a nice compact 7 port USB hub. I didn’t order it for the switches, but it turns out they are very useful. If you have a card reader or a portable drive plugged into this you can just turn them off with the switch when you don’t need them. My Hoodman card reader gets warm plugged into a USB port when it’s not in use. So I just turn it off and save wasted power instead of fumbling around with the cables trying to unplug it. I’ve had it for a week and it’s worked fine with two card readers and a portable external drive while I been transferring my photos.

[0.13 lb] I need a Compact Flash reader since they are disappearing quicker than the Ozone layer. Just want to grab one before they are gone forever. Transfer data from CF to computer pretty fast.

[Yes] After purchasing the Canon R5 body I needed a new card reader for the CFexpress card. The card does get warm and I try not to leave the cards in the reader any longer that needed. The only problem I had was when I had a Lexar SD/ Compact Flash card reader also plugged into the Windows 10 computer. I ended up having to unplug the Lexar card reader and reboot the computer. I do not know if that is a card reader issue or just a computer issue. The reader unloads the card very fast. The other item I saw on another review of card readers is I can't eject the card from Windows 10. I have to pull the card out. Not sure if that will damage the card in the long run but I have been doing that for years on my Compact Flash cards with no issues.

[0.245 lb] I like that you can fully insert the cards into the reader and then close the cover to protect the cards. I mostly use SD and Compact Flash cards so this reader gives me everything I need. Reads all types of SD cards - old and the newest fastest cards. You can have both SD and CF cards in the reader or one at a time. Sweet!

[USB Bus Power] I was using an older SanDisk Compact Flash reader and after buying a 2018 MacBook Pro w/ USB-C I thought I might see a an improvement in speed of transferring files from my Canon 5D MkIII media...Oh My Goodness this thing is lightning fast. I also like that it does both CF & SD cards in one device and mine came with both USB-C and USB-A cables. Solidly built and a great upgrade.

[ 3.5" HDD ] This flash drive is compact and easy to use. Travels well and is easy to program right out of the box. A convenient way to keep date handy and secure.
