[1 RU] You'll want to look elsewhere if you're looking for more inputs. The projector is limited to VGA, S-video and composite inputs. So no DVI, component, or HDMI inputs if you're looking for one. Despite this, if you're looking to simply give presentations and project still images, this is the projector for you. It packs a whopping 3500 lumens and 3000:1 contrast ratio that has been a great addition to our church services. We don't have to dim/turn off the lights during service to read lyrics and we can leave the bible passage up during the sermon with all the lights on in the room. 5 |

[0.05 lb] As several of the other reviews have commented, this is an adapter, not a converter. If your component has S-Video output and VGA, though your VGA port, this works perfect. However, only a small percentage of components have this output. PC's usually do, so if that is what you are trying to convert, you might be good. Recommendation... check carefully, you likely will need a converter and not an adapter. 5 |

[HDMI: 8-Channel] Since I got my recent computer in 2013, I've been trying to get an output to my TV using the normal composite output, which the video card sadly doesn't have. (Although S-Video is an option for my TV as well, it sometimes doesn't detect it properly.) After having tried 3 other VGA to composite scan converters, I thought I would try this Gefen scaler and use the HDMI output on my video card. And it seems I made the right choice at last! While the previous scan converters suffered with a somewhat stuttery PAL output, the Gefen scaler isn't really all that bad at it. It is a little bit stuttery here and there, but nothing to get in a fuss about. When I watched a TV show using it, it wasn't noticeable at all. The image quality is pretty fine, and like it promised, it gives you a choice of resolutions. You'd probably want to stick to about 1024 768 pixels to read stuff from your computer, or otherwise it gets too tiny for your television. I tried both the S-Video and composite outputs, and they were both very good. I also tried it with my XBOX 360, and it worked fine with that too. The underscan setting is just right for my TV, if you want to get the whole image on your screen without anything cropped. It was nice to see that the power supply works from 100 to 240 V, and it also came with a set of Australian style pins, which I was happy to use! (It also had USA, British and possibly European ones too.) The metal case seems rugged and the screw in style HDMI plug is a good idea to keep it from being pulled out. All in all, it seems very well made, and it looks pretty nice as well. 5 |

[1080p] Budget friendly, versatile! Connect composite or s-video without having to get all new HD cams or projectors. 5 |

[0.08 lb] This is exactly what you need if your monitor only has a VGA input and your video output is digital, DVI-D. 5 |

[None] I have use this component to convert the HDMI signal to the composite going into our video mixer. There is no signal loss, one run is 30 feet HDMI cable other run is about 125 feet HDMI cable. I have white balanced both of the Marshall cameras and the clots are popping. 5 |

[Cast Steel] We use the UltraSP on set to record, playback, edit and rough composite from a range of video sources, ranging from the RED One to the Phantom to SD video taps from film cameras. So far the system is handling it very well. Also impressive is the simultaneous SD composite, HDSDI and HDMI outputs (we do actually have all three of those formats working simultaneously on set.) Another unexpected benefit was the ability to use the GPU acceleration in Premiere Pro CS5, making the timeline editor screaming fast and mostly render free even at Uncompressed HD. For the most part BlackMagic has been responsive to the our needs in the setup process. Like all these systems, you want to stick with the recommended specs and go with hardware RAID 0. 5 |
