[Yellow] ORCA OR-1 is a great compact pouch for storing all of my microphones, digital recorders, transmitters and receivers and essential cables especially for run and gun shooting

[0.14 lb (63 gm)] This is the perfect item for powering clip-on instrument microphones or PZM's, especially when recording to a portable digital recorder with built in XLR jacks. Good Luck finding another model at this low price...

[0.175 lb] This is very handy for holing our portable recorders at an acceptable height and distance from the source.

[Latch] I play in an array of bands (mostly Jazz ensembles). We compared this recorder to several others using the internal xy microphones. The consensus was that compared to the other recorders by Roland, Tascam and Olympus, that we owned, the Zoom's internal mics produced a smoother, fuller sound with excellent detail and imaging. The other recorders did a good job but the recordings had a slightly thinner sound quality. The ability to record up to 6 inputs was not compared. The color display is clear and easy to read and the recorder has a logical menu structure. The screen is small but the trade off is the presence of analog controls for basic functions which is worth the trade off. The H6 serves as a digitial interface for 6 channels as well as a recorder which is a nice bonus. The Gray model comes with 2 microphones and a case where the black recorder, which is identical, omits the case and second microphone in exchange for the black finish. I do recommend the H6 recorder.

[-10 dB] Does what it's supposed to do, allowing hot microphones to be attached to mixers, recorders and camcorders in high SPL situations, converting line to mic level and so forth. I carry two of these in my run bag at all times to solve interfacing problems that arise in the field. Simple and sturdy.

[2x AA] These have worked great even in our older, power-hungry digital audio recorders.

[2.635 lb] I'm not exactly a master of all microphones, but I own a couple of TLM103s and maybe 6 other types of condenser mics. These mics sound fantastic. They're pricey, so if you have over $1,000 to spend on a microphone, I'd recommend getting one of these to produce a really clean recording of pretty much anything. I use it to record vocals, drum sets, other percussion, acoustic and electric guitars (paired with other mics), and it always sounds great. I've always used with the Neumann shock mounts.

[Phantom Power] We are using these condenser microphones for a 20 member church choir. The product literature was very helpful for us in assembly and future modifation of our sound system. The sound technician and I also liked the on-line tutorials that Audix posted.
