[9 x 8 x 1.5"] I bought this to connect my aging Samsung monitor, which only has DVI and VGA inputs, to my new computer which only has DisplayPort and HDMI outputs. Since the monitor doesn't have a sound system in it, DisplayPort is the natural choice, and I use the HDMI of for my pen tablet. Cable works flawlessly with no problems in picture quality and has plenty of length to be able to stow the computer out of the way. It feels durable enough to last many years.

[Passive] This is a good way to connect a DVI output to an HDMI Monitor.

If you’re looking for a HDMI cable to connect your monitor to your camera, look no further than this. It’s well built, and seems like it will last a long time.

[Internal] I was looking to purchase the Samsung Odyssey 49 monitor, when its price went up just as I was about to buy it. So, I switched to this ASUS ROG monitor, which, at that time was around $300 less expensive. This turned out to be a very good decision for a number of reasons: - I use this plugged in to my work computer, which does not require the monitor to be bleeding edge. This perfectly checks the box - it gives me everything I need and more, and doesn't come with a hefty price tag associated with features I would never require. - This has a curvature of 1800R, unlike the Samsung, which has a curvature of 1000R. This means that it is less curved, which is optimal for me as I tend to have the monitor at a 3-3.5 ft. distance from my eyes. A monitor too curved would cause me challenges at the edges at such a distance. - This has a USB-C port with PD, which greatly simplified the wiring on my desk. I am able to connect my laptop directly to this port and have the rest of the ports on the monitor connect to other accessories like speakers, keyboards, an ethernet cable etc. I was able to swap out a dock as a result of this. - While I don't use them, there are also ports for HDMI and DisplayPort, which would support PBP/PIP. If I were to list any negatives, these would be a couple: - There are only 3 USB ports, and I need to connect 5 devices. This is a minor inconvenience, and I got around this by simply plugging a hub to one of the USB ports. - The placement of the ports is quite inconvenient. Having the ports face downwards in the middle of the back panel poses quite a few challenges while trying to set up the wiring. That being said, it is an activity you only have to do once. All in all, this is a fantastic purchase.

[HDMI] This is an excellent little box. It's well built and does exactly what the manufacturer says it does. Setup was a breeze. The manual can be confusing but it basically reads/duplicates/changes and EDID HDMI/DVI signal. Why do you need this? Simple...If your monitor/TV is not talking to your input device properly for whatever reason, this will take care of that. You can select resolutions, color options on the fly and pass through sound as well. Why did I use this? I was trying to connect a PC output to an HDMI monitor of obscure resolution. I was greeted with a blank screen. I did some research and it turned out the Intel drivers do not support said resolution...so HDMI handshake was happening but that was about it. All I had to do is connect this box between the monitor and the PC and set it to a resolution that the Intel drivers understood...and voila...problem solved. The box continuously broadcasts the EDID signal so the computer thinks it's always connected. Perfect.
