[1 User] Solid base and we'll built. I use this on a desk with the SE Electronics X1s microphone bundle. It balances well and was worth the price.

[Bus Power] Just a couple quibbles with this desk mic - as purchased, the base is extremely light weight, so I pried off the bottom and filled up the empty space with pennies. Now it seems much more stable. Also, the mic cable grippers on the stand are pretty much useless for the thick gauge wire supplied - if you wanted to force the cable into the channel with a screwdriver or other instrument you probably could, but then you'd run the risk of damaging the insulation. Voice sound quality is ok, particularly when close (not too close! You'll pop your Ps). The USB-C cable plugged into the back of the iMac, and the mic was immediately recognized. For thirty bucks (plus an investment of about eighty cents in pennies), this is a very good deal.
